Pass blocking for Aarons Rodgers who holds the ball for two seconds shouldn't get you 14 million a year. Sour grapes I know.

You should watch a few games. Rodgers had all freakin day to throw the ball often times, and had one of the best olines in the league.

Our line will be one year older and wiser. Fant has been working out and studying at the facility like a madman. Still other FAs that could augment like Byron Bell. The draft can produce a stud or two. Robert Myers might be a hidden gem.

The sky is still in its rightful place.

The name Byron Bell had me so flummoxed and aghast I had to post that it had me flummoxed and aghast. He's not augmenting anything that's good, much less in 2017.

A lot of posters are acting like there was no risk regarding signing Lang. That seems somewhat irrational. FA signings are always assessed on a risk/reward basis. I'm sure this one was too.

Entering his 30yo season. Coming off foot and hip surgeries. Those are risks.
Sure, on paper he's an immediate up-grade, but if you're PC/JS you have to look at the big picture. At what point does the risk outweigh the reward? Detroit's point was higher than ours; it's really that simple.

Bad teams with more cap can throw money around. It usually does not work out well in the big picture.

That is all.
Bad teams except New England that has cap room and know how to reload and seem to have ability to every year .

This^ already guaranteed themselves a spot in sb 52.

Definitely a spot in January, but what else is new. Not sure I'd guarantee a 40 year old statue anything after that.

I wanted Warmack and we probably could have had him if we wanted. He signed for $1.5 mil.

NE is smart with their $$, for sure.

I don't see them signing any injured 30yo guards either. In fact, they just released Vollmer, who it could be claimed was in a somewhat similar situation as Lang. Can we question why they let Bennett go on a pretty cheap deal?

And, why were the Packers outbid for Lang? I know they're richer in OL than we are, but it deserves asking.

Tell me more. I just threw him out as a name example. I recall he was supposed to start for a pretty good Titans team last year, but broke his ankle in training camp.

No surprise. We will go into next season with the worst line in football yet again. I'm sure PC/JS will spend the money on a 30 something, one dimensional RB though. Makes sense.

Who can blame Lang though? With Cable and Bevell on the coaching staff, I would have ran away too.

What the hell is everyone bitching about? Cable has his eyes on 3 Defensive Linemen, 2 Basketball players, and a shot putter to convert to tackle positions to protect our $20 million dollar human centipede picture loving QB.

Just a very bad football player at this level. The NFL stands for not for long as the average career (was/is?) 3 years. He's an UDFA level talent that's somehow bucked the odds to his credit by collecting a paycheck more than the average player, due to the level of OT play league wide I guess, as well as luck. But he missed last year and it's hard to possibly fathom not having better options.

Prove that our superbowl window is closing...

Isnt the team doing a pretty good job proving it themselves. Cant make it out of the 2nd round in the playoffs and not just losing anymore, but getting destroyed. Expect more of the same or worse this coming season.

Thanks for mentioning me in your avatar. I'm sure you are handsome, however, I'm married. Sorry.

OK, start with a box of chocolates and a case of beer, and we'll talk.
