Warner on Lock!! Think we need to draft a QB?

Just watched it. There were multiple times in the film Kurt reviewed in which Russ could have taken shorter completions to move the chains and didn't. Most of them ended up with incompletions or sacks as a result.I watched that one too. Kurt certainly pointed out holes in Russell’s game. But many didn’t like it when he did. Calling Kurt a jealous Ex-Cardinal. I though he was fair and realistic.
Agree. There are lots more good QBs coming out next year. Best move for this year is to try and build them a good foundation. Even a great QB will fail if the pieces around them are inadequate.Sure, but not this year unless it’s a late round flyer.
Analyzing tape and the nuance of a play is an objective study. Kurt might have favorites in the league but the biggest Lock supporter in the world wouldn't be able to defend the faults that Kurt pointed out in his review. And those faults are pretty much in line with general assessments of Lock to date. Big arm, sometimes impatient, relies on his arm more than his head, questionable technique at times. All things that are coachable. To what degree, remains to be seen.never been a big fan of Kurt Warner. Biased and envious of other players isn't a take I put much stock in.
Bill Walsh said what he liked in Montana was Joe's footwork and poise under fire, with that, couple of things stood out in Kurt's assessment:Analyzing tape and the nuance of a play is an objective study. He had a similarly critical review of a qb who played here recently that was also dismissed by some over the perception that Kurt didn't like him. Film is film. Football is football. Either the play is executed by the player as intended or its not. Feelings have no bearing on that.
One thing I'm seeing in Lock... his play reminds me of Jay Cutler ... a lot. Hopefully he turns out to be a better player. Cutler had all the talent in the world but never seemed to put in the time to match his xs and os ability with his arm talent. He also suffered from some maturity issues that Lock doesn't seem to have...

Great thing that guy is surrounded by far better talent now. His numbers should be head and shoulders above what they were here... ... ..... .As has been proof with this team for years now.
