And btw, I thought he hated uprooting his family to move to another city? Was that all BS?

It's entirely possible for more than 1 thing to be true at the same time.

For example, it might be true that he hates uprooting his family to move to another city. It also might be true that he's willing to do it anyway for the opportunity to be a HC and for the massive raise in pay that comes with it.

Being the guy in charge is usually more stable than being a coordinator. If he's tired of moving, this could be a step towards that stability.

I like to think Mike is expanding his vision and plan for this offense knowing he will always be dealing play callers

Topic discussion for next week...but I have to wonder is it harder to generate a GOOD offense or is it harder to generate a GREAT defense? Because Macdonald has the latter covered, which isn't easy in today's NFL. He just needs a good offense to complement him.

I think it’s equally hard to create either. Both have drawbacks and perks. If you are an offense coach, even as great as Sean McVag, you gotta have a great qb. But with a Batman and robin like Stafford and mcvag they can have long stretches of being invincible. A great defense though can still win with a mediocre offense. Not saying Seattle is mediocre but is Kubiak really a head coach? It’s the philosophy of football. Pretty rad

No way he gets a second chance here. The only reason kubiwak had success here is because he was forced to conform to Mike McDonalds vision for the whole team. Mike made kubiwak improve as a play caller or get out. That is why kubiwako should have stayed. Julio Rodriguez was chosen to play in the all star game last year for the mariners, but declined because he was embarrassed at his performance. Julio had too much honor and desire to be great to take the reward. Now obviously kubisnack had a much larger temptation in the millions of money, but the money was gonna be there and he wouldn’t have to go to the raiders if he had come back for his senior year.
Good luck klint with a k. You’re going to need it.

The thing is really that I’m excited about this. We need a better OC. In my opinion Kubiak only did enough to keep his job here.

That really illustrates the difference between a franchise like Seattle and a franchise like LV.
I thought he did a great job.

ive read or seen that somewhere in an interview as well i think it was after practice i cant remember. But i've learned most dudes in the NFL will chase the money 9/10 while 1/10 will stick to their word.

John and Mike will make the right decisions/choices for Klint and Company's replacements should they move on. I'm not too worried... particularly at this point!

Kubiak is probably going to regret his decision to become HC of the Raiders. I believe there will be better openings next season.

I think the following teams could potentially ax their HCs if there isn't any improvement - Eagles, Bengals, Lions, Jets, Bucs, and Chiefs. A dark horse is the Cowboys.
KC Chiefs will be looking for a Coach I have no doubt. The Walrus is very old, in the Holmgren era they are not far apart in age. I would guess he is in his 70's.

In regards to Kubiak yes it stings, SB is a week away timing could have been worse (closer to the SB)at least we don't have to hold our collective breaths anymore. We can all exhale breathe normally now and move on.Time to focus, eye on the prize.
Go Hawks!
