IMHO he deserved the criticism at the time. The 3rd and 11 where they only rushed 2 and dropped 9 into coverage which Goff easily converted is inexcusable. Goff is a “human turnover machine” when pressured. Lack of “killer instinct” at times is maddening.

He got away with it today, thankfully.

There were also third and long conversions where Goff fired right into the area where the blitz originated.

The defensive game plan and execution was stellar today. Not to say there wasn't a miss here or there.

Agreed. He deserved a lot of criticism during the 1st half of the season.

But, the Defense is showing massive improvement and he should share in the credit. Maybe he is learning?

I wouldn't say "He got away with it." Rather, he had some wtf moments but overall did a great job with the playcalling.

Is it too much to hope that KNJ is actually growing and gelling right along with the players?

This is just one game out of the entire season that he didn't go soft with a lead. No redemption yet.

completely agree, the 3rd and long conversions were getting very annoying while the middle of the field continues to be wide open
