Hopefully our defense gives him a cold welcome. Hopefully.

Looking at box scores, I'm not sure if we're defending TEs well or not. As a whole, we havn't given up much to any except for Hunter Henry, but to be fair, we also havn't played against a lot of TE talent.

And that game from Henry looks damning when viewed against his season as a whole.
Against Seattle: 8 catches 109 yards 0 TDs
Other four games combined: 8 catches 71 yards 0 TDs

Next best game a TE had on us was Giants rookie TE Theo Johnson last week.
Against Seattle: 5 catches 48 yards 0 TDs
Other four games combined: 3 catches 37 yards 0 TDs

We did hold LaPorta to 4 catches for 53 yards, but I believe he has been hobbled all season, and that was still his best statistical outing, although the contrast between his other games is less significant than with the last two examples. He had 4 catches for 45 yards in week 1, then 4 for 49 in the two games combined before playing Seattle.

The one that got away.
This board

I'm so sick of the Captain Hindsight crap around here. People love to blindly flame the front office and say things like "Kittle's good, why didn't we draft him?" without considering the contexts and external factors involved on that day. Like, to what frightening depths would this franchise have sunk, and still very likely be stuck in the devastating morass of, were it not for the contributions of the four players we selected in the 50 picks before Kittle was drafted: Lano Hill, Nazair Jones, Amara Darboh, and Tedric Thompson?

Purdy has never lost to the Seahawks (4-0). Geno has never won a TNF game (0-4).
And there's that "curse" I was talking about in another board via Gameday chat. Hopefully it sticks :devilish:

The two players I will always have major respect for on the Niners is Fred Warner and George Kittle

They play the game with passion and intensity and that's exactly how it should be played

I don’t think I have any issues with anything he said. Is anything he said untrue? Not really. Niners has had Seattle’s number in Seattle or even in the Santa Clara for a while now. Kittle was not disrespectful in any way.

Seattle just needs to win, man, I’m tired of losing so much to the Niners….tired.
