There are also motivators all over that stadium encouraging the noise. Not even close to what we have.

They came up at 132.2

Impressive. Might not get the record but thats still a loud stadium. I'd love to see a game there someday

My goodness. It's probably better now for us, but I was there for the Sunday night storm game in the late 90's and it was the worst fan experience I've ever had. Even worse than Raider fans throwing full cans of beer at my car on the way into the stadium parking lot in Oakland. Saw a Bills game there too, and it was meh. Then again, it was the Bills.

Seriously though, if you watch crowd shots at clink during attempts to be loud, half the fans aren't even trying to make noise. It isn't like it used to be IMO.

So I guess because KC Organization paid G Book to come (7500 to fly them out....) the rules dont apply to being able to attempt a record within the same year it was broken... Interesting. Money trumps all!

I like how the picture they show of the meter is a buncha people standing in a stadium tunnel. lol

Saying they broke it, 137.5 decibels. I gotta question that.

Good for them. Place is plenty loud and our only real rival for noise. I think it's a bit silly that they had the KC boards prompting people to scream when the Seahawks did it naturally.

It's definitely a different situation, but that place has always been considered among the loudest. No shame in what we did, at all.

I'm glad they broke it. They barely did so, and I think most would agree that the 49ers game wasn't our loudest. Not that the 12thman needed extra motivation, but now they have it.

What's sad is that KC had things up on the screen encouraging noise to break the record. From what I understand, the Seahawks weren't backing the attempt whatsoever. There was nothing on the screen encouraging the record. That's kind of embarrassing in my opinion, if true. Why wouldn't you want to have a part in that, and help encourage the record?

I could care less to be honest. I love how we are in people's psyche's these days though. We used to be that South Alaskan team that nobody in the NFL gave a rip about. Now we seem to be in the collective conscious of the entire league.

Meh. We'll break their record soon enough.

Yeah, the KC record is more "Put 80k in one place and have them all yell on queue" and less in the spirit of the record.
