I like K9 and was jubilant when he was drafted, but man that guy is an injury jusy waiting to happen. He's constantly hurt. Dude would be a top 5 back if he could just get through a season.

I think this is it for him. If he gets hurt again this season, it'll be his last in Seattle.

Does he even need to get hurt to be gone?

I actually thought I saw some Curt Warner in Walker when he was drafted, but at this point, I would prefer whatever running backs the Seahawks can pick up on day three of next year's draft. Walker's performance has declined between his good rookie season and his not-so-good sophomore campaign, and then even more between his second and third seasons. He was clearly below-average last year and looked just plain bad yesterday.

Blame the line, blame the coaches. Whatever. But the Seahawks are still going to have largely the same line, and even if the coaches are changed, it'll take a while to implement a scheme in which Walker can be productive. It's easier, cheaper, and more reliable to just draft more RBs and when his contract ends, let Walker walk. And as I suggested at the top of my comment, if Walker is still playing at the level he has since last year or below, he doesn't even have to get hurt yet again for it to be a good idea for the Seahawks to move on. They obviously don't need to hurry, because he's still indentured to the Seahawks for all of 2025, and there's value in that if he can be even average-ish. I just consider it unlikely at this point that he'll be even an average NFL running back again.

Walker could still prove my suspicions wrong and show himself capable of being average or better, but he's fragile and hasn't really looked good when on the field in some time, so I won't hold my breath.

Walker had a better yac (yards after contact) avg than Charbs. Walker had 2.10 yac to Charbs 1.67. Considering that Charbs is more known as the power back this is pretty concerning. He wasn't really breaking any tackles out there.

I'm not seeing anything in Walker, I think maybe he's one of those
players that has one or two decent years and flames out.
It's happened with many players over the years and nobody can really
explain it.

I’ve been down on this dude as of late…and it makes it easier to justify when Charbs looks like a starter….but, I’m catching wind that K9 is in phenomenal shape and is turning heads…

Let’s hope for an injury free season…contract year.

I’ve got this weird feeling he’s going to go HAM this season…
 Thinking your wrong.

I am still in the camp for holding K9. Taking away weapons doesn't help Darnold IMO. Charbs is good but is easy to game plan against which is why you need a K9 as a change of pace.

That is the biggest reason why Charbs hasn't really broken through as a true RB1 because he can be neutralized via defensive opponents game plans.

I think, as good fans go, we over-rate our own. I've never really understood the love affair with K9 and Zach. I do think they're better than avg rbs on a pass 1st offense. But when all the chatter began that we were going to be a pound the rock team, I immediately felt like we needed an upgrade - if that's what the focal point would be.
Sunday, although he's not playing much yet, we go against the guy I wanted in Arroyo's spot. I thought Kaleb Johnson could be the next great Seahawk RB.
Whether or not Johnson will be a great RB, the point is, if running the ball is gonna be our identity, we need the next Curt Warner. The guys we got ain't it.
Since they usually fizzle at 30, running backs are best if drafted. I'd like to see the Hawks take Love at #32 next year to rest the job from Charbonnet

All this negativity about K9 after one game? We need both Walker and Charbonnet to make it through the season.

Walker is a solid player. He'll help us win some games this year. New rushing schemes this year, he'll be fine next game.

Walker is still a homerun threat, as a runner and a receiver. He had over a 1000 yards rushing in his rookie year behind a shaky offensive line and with an incompetent offensive coordinator. He's had impressive receiving numbers as well. He isn't too old yet, and he hasn't had the kind of injuries that will diminish his talents. This talk about getting rid of him after one game is crazy talk.

You were correct.

Walker today, 13 carries for 105 yards, 8.1 average, and the game sealing TD.

Charbs today, 15 carries for 10 yards, 0.7 average.

Yeah, loving how they divvied up the run plays. I know folks don't like that, but as long as they're moviing the chains and scoring I have no problem with RBBC.

Anytime you guys want a player to do well, let me know.

I’ll post something positive, then give up hope and demand a trade, boom…profit.

Jokes aside, that’s the guy we drafted. He still brought out some of the ‘dancing stuff’ early on but, he looked like he was hitting the hole a lot faster today!

Thank the lawt…

And the dancing resulted in more yards.
