Every now and then I like to go back and look at combine results and draft predictions on players to see who evaluates them well and who doesn't. For the most part, they are very close and there is always and interesting nugget in there. :D

"He has decent hands but will lose focus at times and is minimally involved in blocking for the run game."

BB per SI.com

"ANALYSIS: A defensive back with outstanding size and strength, Browner is perfectly suited to play press coverage at the next level and also has possibilities at safety. Possesses a lot of upside potential and has the skills to be a shut-down cornerback in the NFL, but far from the finished product -- needs time to develop his overall game and will only be effective in certain systems."

The BB one is great, did you bold the focus thing because of his vision problems?

But really that scout on the BB one should be on a staff.

Decent hands LOL! coming out of UW, and not in hindsight that is god damn rich, my dog could catch a ball better with his tiny paws than Kearse could with his hands.

Yeah that BB one was spot-on.

I still think BB's best chance to succeed is here. If he walks at the end of the year and goes to another system, I think he will have a hard time.

What spot on analysis on those two.

Kearse always did have good hands, many people tend to over-blow his drops. His problem was focus, not his hands just as the analysis above stated. He would often make some amazing circus catches and haul in passes that weren't the most accurately thrown but would have a tendency to drop the easy pass more than he should.

The team that stands out is Gus Bradley's Jags. I see him fitting there pretty well.

Yeah and it made me dislike him at UW despite having good counting stats. You are exactly right. He had great hands to make some awesome catches but then would drop a seemingly simple 3rd down catch.

There is no denying that he has a lot of talent to get open and make plays. I am giving him a clean slate and I hope the lasik fixed some poblems he had.

My first thought was the Jets. They love to run press/man coverage and get to the QB much quicker than we do. Rex Ryan would flip out of he could get Browner.

No kidding on that scout's analysis. I don't know if he's still writing, but I would print out that scouting report and use it as my resume to most pro teams. He was that spot on.

Funny, but Kearse sure as hell looked a lot faster than a 4.58 on that KR. That's just insane, I can't even wrap my mind around it. I ran a 4.61 on grass in high school, and I KNOW Kearse could've smoked me.
