Discussed at length in the injury thread. Hammies are tricky. Muscles don't show well on xrays and even an MRI on that much muscle tissue can miss things. Tough to treat and easy to re-aggravate. Sucks, to be sure.

@glenwo2

Dude, why are you surprised?

Hamstring and Groin are two of the most unpredictable and easy to reaggravate injuries.

Is what it is, as always “next man up”.

In the basement at the Alamo.
It's frustrating, but this is going to be a hell of a race with the Rams and Niners, so I think its best to not force anything against a non-divisional opponent. That and I trust Okada to step up again.

I had a major hip problem that seems at the moment to be working out. For part of that fix is some exercises with the hamstrings and groins and all the glutes and any other muscle that may hurt. I am doing about 30 to 45 mins a day on this area of the body so I can get around easily. It is a lot of work just to walk around in less pain. I feel what he is doing. I can feel the pain in my glute and work that muscle to where the pain is diminished. But it takes a while. Getting old aint for the faint of heart. At least I am not taking the pills that did help...

I think Okada while not Love is doing a serviceable job. Should be ok for this Sunday but like others have mentioned having Love back for the Rams would be ideal.

I looked back at my deadlift records, because I tore my hammy on my PR deadlift last year. Granted, I'm not a pro player, in my prime, but it took me six months of careful rehab and building strength before my coach allowed me to go for that same PR again. I felt great after about two months, but she watched my leg, and could see it twitching during lifts. I couldn't feel it at all, and thought I was fine.

These are tough injuries to come back from because you feel fine long before the muscle heals.

Different if the tear is at the tendon end of the muscle, rather than in the belly of it.
