That and Johnny Miller is an insufferable douche nugget. Every once in a while ill catch vid of an old tournament and remember what piece of garbage that guy was.
This relates more to toffee's post, but I don't like responding to him because he's never actually interested in having a real discussion.

It could be argued that Tiger's career was severely truncated by bulking up so much, as it promoted a violent swing that ultimately destroyed his back. He didn't HAVE to swing that way though, so I guess it's not like the muscles directly caused his injuries. Rory added a lot of muscle and hasn't had any issues with it. Bryson DeChambeau is going to end up being an interesting case. Golfers don't need to be agile though. I guess none of this really has to do with anything, but I like talking golf.

Remember David Duvall? He had a sweet swing and was #1 golfer for a decent time - then he hit the gym and was never the same. At least that was the rumor that circulated at the time.

It did seem like his comeback attempts kept getting de-railed by injury, but I was under the impression that Duval's career implosion was mostly a mental thing. As he describes it, he was #1 in the world and had just won his first major, the '01 British Open, to reach golf's apex and finally accomplish everything everyone in his position dreams of... and it felt shockingly empty. He found himself asking "Is this all there is?". He lost the drive that had fueled his success, and struggled badly with yips.

That mental stuff can be crazy with golfers. You ever see a baseball pitcher with the yips? You feel awful for them, but it's hard to look away when it's happening.

As I said earlier in this thread, football maybe a game of inches, in golf, a 1/16" off when the club hitted the ball makes all the difference, if a golfer overdeveloped, say the lat in a short period, I can see how those 1/16" comes into play.

Is there a photo of him not in action where his muscles aren’t flexing? He could easily not be much bigger, just the pads make him look smaller. Also, what year is that photo from? If he’s a Fr, It makes sense he has gotten bigger

DK was a tremendous player and I wish we had been able to find a way to keep him, but he's not an ultra-agile, sharp in and out of cuts kind of guy. I hope we're not modeling JSN after him stylistically.

DK is fast as hell and explosive though. Hopefully the work JSN is doing will allow more of that without taking away from what he already does so well.
Metcalf was a vertical athlete only. At his combine ha had an agility rating of 16 which is the worst I can remember a player having

Just my opinion, but JSN should stop with the low reps & bulking up. He needs to use the next three months to rip back down a bit and maintain that, somewhere between where he was and is now. Don't want to do anything that compromises speed, quicks, explosiveness or flexibility.
Steve Largent, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett caught a lot of passes without bulking up.

I'm agreeing on one hand but on the other thinking it might be good for a physical Kubiak offense
