1100+ yard season incoming.
I remember that interview!I forgot who said it but someone who played with JSN, Wilson, Harrison Jr, Olave etc when asked who was the best player of the bunch said JSN no question. That is high praise as all of those guys look to be incredible pros.
Man…three 1K yard receivers makes me moist.I don't really think it's entirely up to him. There's only one ball on the field and our WR room is LOADED.
For comparison Metcalf was targeted 119 times last year, Lockett 122, and JSN 93. Say they all get 110 targets this year, it's going to be a matter of avg ypc. JSN's average was 10 ypc last year, so we could wind up with 3 1,000 yd receivers.
If our defense is better we might get 10 drives per game instead of 8, which could put all our big 3 in the 120 targets per range too.
I think he’ll have more deep shots and fewer screen passes, and both will increase his ypc.Data presented in this thread point out that JSN was not thrown many deep balls last season.
I presume in his 2d here he will be given more opportunities for this, and thus we can expect his YPC numbers should dramatically improve as well as his total yards. He's got great speed and good hands and has shown he's willing to fight for the ball from what little he's shown so far. He looks to be pretty good in traffic for a guy with moderate size.
Yards don’t matter. Does he deliver when called upon, especially on critical situations? If he does that, 800-900 yards would be fine with me.There are only so many potential yards to split up among our offensive weapons. JSN may very well have a breakout year, but still be in the 700-900 range.
