Wow. Feared this might happen, but still. I like Moffitt. Solid depth. And I'm not crazy about getting a guy who is an absolute nobody, even if it is a position of need. I'll keep optimistic, as Pete and John have better odds than most on these kinds of trades, but it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up getting cut in the end.

Moffit on KJR right now.

And he must be happy about going to one of the most craptastic cities in America.

Bye John. Thanks and good luck.

Any comments from his KJR interview would be awesome, thanks guys

Some may disagree but he sounds shell shocked to me.

He is being very gracious and paying many compliments to the team as well as the organization. Said the first thing he thought was that he'd miss JS and many others. Didn't give any detail as to why (if he was even told) he was being traded.

One dude from Connecticut traded for another dude from Connecticut. I wonder if this has ever happened in NFL history before. Pete and John always blazing trails haha

Seriously though, always thought Moffitt was a refreshing change of pace compared to most star athletes. This tells us that the team is comfortable with not only the starters, but Rishaw Johnson and the possibility of Alvin Bailey inside as well. And from that quote from Chudzinski, Sanford just screams potential Seahawk, and now he is one. I don't know what kind of chances he faces of making the roster, but if he continues to bust his ass and play 110% on every snap, he stands a chance.

Farewell Mr. Moffitt. It's been real.

Glad we got something for him, didn't think he was even going to crack the 53. Bailey/Bowie, boom.

Might as well take a flier on a high effort guy. D-Line comp is pretty fierce right now. I like it.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's a fair amount of gloating in this thread, but I feel for the guy. He had a chance to be part of a team many of us think is going to win the Super Bowl. It's got to be a huge blow not to be here anymore -beyond the feeling of disappointment in that Seattle didn't want/need him -, and I really feel for him in that regard. I truly hope this was a "You've got to give something to get something" move.

Orlando, FL...for good.
This thread feels a lot like the one when we traded with Philly and Clemons was practically an afterthought.

Just some food for thought.

Get used to change if you have not already.

Moffitt did nothing to move forward and we have plenty of people that want to.

I don't care about personality, I want a Seahawk Superbowl win, and I want players that want the same thing. I am not saying he didn't want that, but maybe he just never grasped the golden ring right in front of him.

So does this mean we're going to run with 9 OL on the 53 then?

It's best for moffit. I don't think he had a chance starting this season and the whole "competition" thing between him and JR is just a illusion.
I hope he does well in Cleveland.

That would be my guess. Carroll has been playing Bailey and Bowie at multiple positions; it looks to me that they think the guys they have are versatile enough that they can get away with 1 fewer O-Linemen than is typical.
