We're stuck with JS for now. Can't lie, I wouldn't mind a change at GM. I don't dislike him, but with all the other changed, I want to see what a different GM does in the draft and in free agency.
Idk? Seems a little risky, how many GM's out there have a championship and a winning record over the past decade in all of pro sports like the Seahawks? As Seahawks fans we're kinda spoiled rotten and a tad bit entitled.

I like him, I stick up for him often. However, a change wouldn't be the worst thing, imo. Not pulling out pitchforks, just saying that I'm open to the idea of a change at GM at some point. If he doesn't nail this draft, it's time to legit consider it.

I like JS...but if there is a better GM out there, then upgrade the spot. Just be sure if you let him go, you have someone better coming in.

JS has some amazing moves under his reign and laid many eggs in his time as well. I hear people say he doesn't have a plan...I see it differently...he usually has a plan, they just don't work out all the time. Less often in recent years, but to what extent was that Pete's infatuation with x player/coach?

I'm at the point where I've accepted that JS is probably more hopeful about the draft than FA, none of these FA OL visits have me screaming for JS to get desperate and give them a blank check to get them to sign here. Other than Dahlman & Fries, this didn't seem like a good year for FA OL.

Focus on the draft fellas! It's probably the best thing we can do for our sanity. 🤪

Jenkins might be waiting for a train don't come. He's testing the market and it's not enthusiastic given his injury history. He probably accepts a payday lower than what he wanted, though whether it's Seattle we won't know until it happens.

This thread is pure example of the need for instant gratification with the FA market by the fans. FA actually just began. Sure the OLine has been a mess since forever. I've been grumbling about the OLine since early Pete and before, please see my footer. Trading away our pro Bowl C Max Unger many many years ago began the nightmare of weak interior OLine play. What can be said for sure is the team has tried to fix the problem and some believed to be quality draft picks have been acquired without any success fixing a problem that has defied solution for this FO.

Olu who was the Rimmington Award winner as the best interior Lineman has been a significant disappointment and seems physically weak. Hope he lifted lots and is lifting lots to get ready as the undrafted Sundell seemed to be an improvement over him. Haynes X2 have also disappointed as has Bradford. Were these all poor choices or did the team not develop them properly, who really knows? It is clear that some of the castoffs over the past years went on elsewhere to play pretty well so that indicates the coaching was the culprit

The problems still exist and the OLine seems unable to block squat in the run game and continiue to waive their matador capes to the pass rush. Of course JS wears the responsibility he's the GM but it would seem the scouting was weak and it seems clear the coaching was too. The problem is one that offers no immediate resolution as quality Oline talent is hard to come by and to keep.
The problem now has undoubtedly put considerable real pressure on JS who is in the hottest to at least field a competitive OLine this season.

There's lots of blame to go around here. He truly can't be faulted on a few missed opportunities as the money or health issues weren't right or the team faced players who simply didn't want to came here.

This is the offseason where the rubber finally truly meets the road and with 10 draft picks and deep pockets capwise the solutions need to found before the regular season begins. Spending on low quality players who want quality player $ isn't the answer and whiffing again with draft picks will get JS canned. I'm prepared to be patient until we see more of the same inability to pass protect and abject inability to run block. if that happens I'll be loud in my denunciation as many here are already.

So we struck out....again.

Looks like we'll have to DRAFT our own O-Line players.
Maybe...or it's possible a game of chess is being played. Open question until he signs somewhere, which will happen unless he has an undisclosed chronic injury.

Did the team strike out? Who knows for sure? He's not signed but maybe he wanted Fries money or flunked his physical? Do we know?

Perhaps he wanted to think about come to left coast before signing or they are still dickering over contract.

Let's all show some modicum of patience here. It's not as if this player was a perennial ALL Pro that we are missing out on.
