So I guess we close this thread once Jenkin inevitably signs elsewhere, huh?
Not yet officially reported, one side may have backed out. Maybe false rumors. Who knows? Everything I see from Bears fans is Jenkins was their worst O lineman when he was healthy. But I haven't looked myself to make an actual judgement. I don't like to make opinions based off what someone I don't know may or may not have repeated from someone they don't know.Huh???
Then was there ever an actual visit by him to begin with?
Is he turtley enough for the turtle club though?Update: He likes Turtles
Pundit reports and tape don't bear that out. What I see from Bears fans is more along the lines of "He's good but cannot stay on the field enough.". Comms not aligning somewhere.Everything I see from Bears fans is Jenkins was their worst O lineman when he was healthy.
That's why I don't base my opinions on what fans say, just look at some of the clueless people around here. Bears fans are no different. At least I'll admit when I'm wrong.Pundit reports and tape don't bear that out. What I see from Bears fans is more along the lines of "He's good but cannot stay on the field enough.". I like Jenkins and think he's worth offering a contract, assuming it's a 1-2 year prove it deal discounted to reflect the injury history. That's why I don't base my opinions on what fans say, just look at some of the clueless people around here. But Jenkins did leave without a deal. Wonder what happened there, hopefully we hear something. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have the love of the game and it showed I've been reading a lot about.
I am in 100% agreement with this. People are saying to basically pay him the stars and the moon just to get an O line player. Horrible business decision. Prove it deal is the right way to go.I like Jenkins and think he's worth offering a contract, assuming it's a 1-2 year prove it deal discounted to reflect the injury history.
I also think Jenkins and his agent know that OL FA's were thin to begin with and JS is under fire. They are likely leveraging that to get a deal for more than he's worth. It makes sense from their business perspective. I don't fault JS holding off if the deal doesn't make sense. The draft is deep in OL talent and there were glimpses of improvement from some of our lads by the end of the year.
Just don't put Bradford anywhere near a starting spot.
I'm sure players want to weigh their options as well and get the most out of any team as possible...only natural. Not that many guys come for a visit and sign deals right then. A lot of guys leave town without one. Some come back and sign here, many don't. Not everybody is worth tieing to their chair until they sign.![]()
I'm hearing the same thing, there is a certain criteria that MM wants in his players to play smash mouth offense. He has vision for his team, more so than JS.That's why I don't base my opinions on what fans say, just look at some of the clueless people around here. Bears fans are no different. They didn't have a good one then, either. They want security since they know they are going to be screwed coming here
The Hawks has not have a good line since their Super Bowl
