He was, the posts by some claiming he wasn't good or was ok are garbage. He played great, the offense moved the ball all game long he made clutch throws to keep drives going.
Some people around here are so invested in Geno or a personal axe to grind they will never be happy.
14-3 guys! Conference champions! That's hard to do and we did it.

If he plays like this in the playoffs, this team is going far. Solid football, didnt turn the ball over, made some plays when he needed to and used his legs a few times. This team is good enough to win if he keeps it up.

Sam Darnold : First and only QB to win 14 games with two different teams.

Why? Because teams don't let a 14-win QB leave their team for another like the blithering idiots in Minnesota.

Funny that my only complaint would have been too cautious. He might have had 2 TD passes if he lets it rip. I kind of wonder if even thought the play was there, he was leary of throwing an out on the goal-line.

He didn’t play perfect. Don’t get it twisted. Sam had at least 3-4 retarded moments… tripping over Sundell and the almost fumble…standing still like the 49ers were a bunch of T-Rexs that couldn’t see him if he
didn’t move… the spike off the d line because he had too much time on his hands… I was constantly cheering for Sam and slapping my face the whole game. But, man, that’s my quarterback

The offense is also playing the way it needs to to win. I think that's the lesson they learned from the first Rams game. If for some reason they got into a shootout (e.g., the second Rams game), he would have been perfectly capable of dialing it up.

The way the game was going Darnold needed to be a game manager. Not a gunslinger. He did the job well. Now lets hope the 49ers drop to 6th seed and get their butts kicked in Philly or Chicago.

He may not have been a gunslinger but he went 19/26 fo 198 yards. That is over 75% completion rate and just under 8 yards per attempt. Also ZERO turnovers.

That is a great complement to a 180 yard run game.

Our total offense was just under 400 yards.

The only real complaint was how he missed seeing Charbs on the first drive and took a sack but they can’t see everything.

When you can run as successfully as we did last night and keep the lead, there is really no reason to throw too much.
