Tough crowd. It's July. Relax.
What an absolute bust of a trade this turned into.
While I’m not happy Adams could be out for an extended time. Is it really that big of a deal now?
Seattle traded a lot for him, yes, no question, however, it’s not like Seattle was predicted to win this division this year. In a rebuilding year, Adams being out isn’t necessarily a bad thing. His contact and cost of opportunity lost is bad but Seattle’s season was not going to be predicated on if Adams played or does not play this year.
We’ll just have to see how this plays out before we condemn this season.
Bad mouth Adams contract all you want but I’m still excited to see how the team does this year, Adams in or not.
He had a great year tbhGiven how Adams played in 2021 (yes, with a lot of injury issues, but "health is a skill," and Adams doesn't appear to have it), I'm not all that convinced his absence in 2022 would hurt the Seahawks all that noticeably even if the Seahawks had been expected to contend this season.
The piling on continues as far as Adams for the many folks who don't like him. This is more a precautionary situation than any reality that he has been re-injured.
Here is a more accurate version which includes his comments and those of PC:
My belief is he'll be back to camp shortly and will start the season as the team's SS
Exactly. And with the installation of a new defense, this year's training camp and preseason is more crucial than is usually the case for a vet like Adams (who was clearly negatively impacted by being absent for much of last season's preseason with the hold-in).I admire those trying to put a positive spin on this, but my gut just feels dread.
Believe what you want but when the bullets start to fly Adams will be there and playing his usual aggressive style of ball.
Adams doesn't make 'business decisions' to avoid contact which is why he has been nicked up. In fact I recall a situation where he stuffed the runner hard near the goalie ending the opponents possession, there was no 'business decision' there. I for sure don't recall any arm tackles as you allege. Don't let your personal biases make up factual allegations that are not substantiated in reality.Until week 9 when one of his surgically repaired shoulders gives out again, and he missed the rest of yet another season.
He's broken dude. Safeties like Adams don't recover from double torn labrums, they just manage their contact and how they tackle.
Which is why he makes business decisions on the goalline not hitting RB's and arm tackles everyone now.
