Sounds like he may be out for a bit dangit! He isn't the best, but the continuity between the starting 5 was really coming together. When Olu got in there you really saw the change. Hopefully Olu's practice reps this week are fruitful 🤞🤞🤞

Olu has to work on basic stuff like snaps. He had issues with that before.

However, he might be better in the run game than Sundell. They were able to run the ball effectively in the second half.

Yeah, , but maybe the game was over and the defense was exhausted while the RB's wanted to pad their stats?

I was hard on Olu in the past but he’s actually not bad when given ample reps in a run heavy game plan. My issue was his pass pro. The center/qb exchange will improve with reps

I noticed the same thing. I need to go back and look at the all 22 to see how much of the improvement in the run game was because Olu was at center.

Mike strikes me as a guy who will tear that tape apart to find all of the errors and devise something to mitigate them.

I was bummed to see Sundell go down and I wouldn't be shocked if he misses multiple weeks, but could Olu be the spark our running game needed? Yesterday was promising.

When a defense knows you are going to run, run, and the run some more and still cannot stop you that is more than just being tired. They are still professionals with copious amounts of pride

He graded out at an 80.6 even with the mishandle but I think they always charge that to the QB anyways

Olu had a horrible start with the snap snafu and a false start at the goal line.

That said, the second half run game looked as good as it ever has this year with him at center.

If there is a drop off from Sundell, I don’t think it’s huge. I’m for making sure Sundell is 100% before bringing him back.

Olu is basically the epitome of a Ruskell guy. He probably would have selected him like two rounds before Schneider did.

I thought he has looked mostly fine when he has had to play before. Sundell was a nice UDFA find, but if Olu is any worse, I doubt it'll be by enough to make any real difference.

I pray you’re right and I’m somewhat biased because, ya know…GoBlue! 😜
I also love JSN despite being from that school because…GoHawks!

Olu came in and blocked really well, especially in the run game. He's not as agile or mobile as Sundell, but his play strength is a step above.

Fumbled UC exchanges will clean themselves up with practice, and hopefully his shotgun snap issues (like when he'd rocket it at Geno's left ear one snap and then snap an eephus at half the speed at his right knee) have been somewhat mitigated by now.

I worry that he may be a slight downgrade in pass protection, but he's not going to be an embarrassment unless his mistakes are just him being dopey (which I doubt as, by all accounts, he's quite smart.)

If I had to guess (and if Sundell isn't automatically getting the job back due to chemistry stuff) I think Olu keeps the job.

IIRC Olu won a shit ton of awards his senior year in college and was widely respected as on o-lineman. I know that doesn't always transfer to NFL - but.....

The gap in play between Sundell and Olu is not as large as some make it out to be. Olu will be fine in picking up the slack. Sundell wasn't a world beater. Olu, even with the bad snap, graded 80.2 overall for the game according to the linked article given in the OP.

I also give the bad snaps a little break because it seemed for him it was more like "first game jitters" because he smoothed out.
