Jadarian Price Vs Jonah Coleman: Inside the Numbers!

There's going to be a bunch of quality RBs at the end of 3, top of 4. Everyone is going to be picking WR/CB/OL in the first two rounds because that's where the value is. Love, Price, and maybe Washington will go in the first two rounds to teams with a need. But then they will have their back and Colman, Singleton, Emmett Johnson will have a long wait until they become overwhelming BPA.

I wouldn't be surprised if we had the same RB options at 96 as are at 64. It would make a lot of sense to me to trade down 32 1-5 spots or 64 down 7-10 spots just so we can get another pick in the 96 range. That would give us one of the tier II RBs and a second quality DB. (Assuming we go EDGE/DB in our first two picks.)

I've read/heard there are a good amount of DE options in Rounds 1-2 as well. This just seems to be a DE/CB/OG/S draft for them. They're somewhat fortuitous in that their needs match where this draft has some strength.

The advantage that Coleman has is that he may be available at 96. I don't think that using a first round pick on an RB makes sense unless he's a can't miss prospect.

I think Emanuel Wilson could be a bell cow back for us early until Zach returns and the best two out of the pack of 7 or 8 RB's will serve us well.
The positional strength of this draft is edge/DE, CB/DB, IOL. This is a weak class of QB & RB.

I like Washington Jr and would take him at the bottom 3rd but think he goes before that, maybe even before Price.
If JS trades down, I think Nicholas Singleton in the 4th round would be a good pick. If we end up with a 7th rounder and looking at potential undrafted free agents, I'd like them to look at these three.

Price isn't probably gonna be there at 64. And I'm willing to bet theres no way JS takes a running back there at 32. And even though I feel our biggest loss was Walker, Defense wins games. IF theres no trade back, then I'll be it'll be edge or CB at 32. To me, there is no reason to even compare Price/Coleman. They are a good 2 rounds apart. I have something of a crush on Coleman. Just like the heart be plays with. Great all around. And when you put him in its NOT a signal to opposing Defenses what we are going to do.
I do like Price however, don't get me wrong. I wouldn't be heartbroken or angry if we did take him at 32.
My perfect scenario would be to trade back to mid-round if possible, grab a couple later picks, and take defense as our 1rst pick, grab Coleman at 64 (if he is there). Extra picks + Coleman = win/win for me. If he is NOT there at 64 then it still opens opportunity for other positions. And at that point I'd just look to UDFA to try to fill the room.
