The last wild card team to advance to the SB and win was the 2010 Packers . It's a new season . Last season is in the books. I'm moving on to Sunday. HAPPY NEW YEAR KNUCKLHEADS :!: :0190l:

Let's map out the ideal scenario.

Seahawks beat Eagles. Vikings beat Saints. Seahawks beat Packers. Vikings beat 49ers. Seahawks host Vikings.... Profit?

I'd rather play the 49ers at Levis than the Packers at Lambeau.

I understand what you’re saying, but this is a different Packers team. If hope counts for anything, hope for the pack.

Look at their schedule this year and remember mahomes was out for that game.

Almost the easiest schedule I’ve EVER seen.

The 49ers are the exact opposite and battle tested.

Use any mental powers of influence to ensure a Vikings win and that the 9ers go down or we rematch in nfccg.

I really haven't seen much of the Packers and have no idea how they are 13-3. Playing at Lambeau, with varying wacky weather, it just feels like an opportunity for a Cardinals week 16 type of game, where Russell Wilson might struggle. I'll take your word for it overall though. As long as Geno doesn't say, "We want the ball and we're going to score!" at the coin flip.

The Seahawks, and especially Russell Wilson, do not play well in bad weather. The Packers have an underrated defense that helped them to 13-3. So if we're looking at just the divisional round, I'd rather play the 49ers in Santa Clara in warm weather and against a QB that isn't playoff tested. But that's short sighted and ignores the conference round. Now with that said, lets examine the two best routes to the Super Bowl:

Scenario 1:
Wild card round:
We beat Philly, Minnesota beats New Orleans (unlikely).

Division round:
We play at Green Bay, Minnesota would have to beat SF to give us a home game (unlikely).

Conference round:
We host Minnesota

Scenario 2:
Wild card round:
We beat Philly, New Orleans beats Minnesota

Division round:
We play at SF, New Orleans plays at Green Bay

Conference round:
We travel to NO or GB

Comparing the two scenarios, we have to play at either Green Bay or New Orleans eventually, whether that's in the division round or conference round. In my opinion, New Orleans is better (or hotter at the moment) than Green Bay and presents a tougher matchup despite the climate controlled dome. I'd rather go the route of scenario one and try to win one game in bad weather instead of having to play road games against two of SF, NO, and GB. However, that relies on two unlikely upsets by the Vikings.

They clearly are capable of doing some damage in the playoffs. In a perfect world, the Hawks and Vikes would win out and we would host the NFC Championship. But, with Cousins under center, I just can't see that happening. And there's that whole Saints are damn good thing, best team in the NFC imo.
Hell yes it's possible for the Hawks to make the Superb Owl. Not saying they will, but it's certainly possible. They are in the dance, anything can happen.
