It's not a Toomer...or is it?

Good to see the kid getting healthy. Lord knows we need some LBs to get on the field. :)

Maybe he's one of the reasons we didn't go there in the draft.

Ideally, with Clem likely on PUP to start the season and Irvin suspended, Toomer shows he's absorbed the defense enough that he can get that superior athleticism on the field. He's one of the few LBs in the league who stacks up with with Wagner athletically and also has the same kind of long arms that he uses well at the POA. Played some with his hand down rushing the passer and standing up as a LB in college so again, if he can show he's learned enough it makes the D just a little bit more dynamic with the explosive ability he has.

I'd imagine that Wright will still play some SLB, but I'm excited to see what becomes of the SLB spot this year. With multiple Leo types vying for some PT there it's obvious we're going to see more evolution of this D and incorporate more 3-4 type defenses to go along with our base 4-3 Under and throwing an improved Toomer into that mix....we need more football, damn it.

I got a feva'...and the only prescription....is more football.

Pick a number. Any number. Just get rid of the one he's wearing now.
Why? Reminds me of a former pro bowler Seth Joyner. Same size even (when Joyner was young).

Reminds me of our #4 pick in the 1st round of the 2009 draft.

Back pick by a poor former regime is all, man. We're even free of dead money from that move.....
