That's just like the Hawks , crazy cra
I bet our defense of the last five years had some incredibly negative stats too so it's nice to balance it all out lol

Two of Spoon's three career sacks were in that game. I always have to point out in the Jamal Adams threads how overrated sacks are for DBs, but I wonder what it was that had Spoon get them in that game. Can't be just the fact that the opposing QB was Daniel Jones. I assume we schemed it that week for some reason.

I was at that game where Spoon got the sacks and pick 6. He had pretty clear shots, so either Jones didn't identify it and make the adjustment or the player assigned to block him whiffed. I'm pretty sure that they saw something that Jones wasn't picking up or accounting for as it is very rare to send a cornerback on a blitz once in a game let alone twice.

I agree with the premise that sacks for DB's are way overrated. If you're having to depend on your safety to get QB pressures, then that says more about the ineptness of your front 7 than it does the quality of your safety play.

That year which Adams set the record for sacks by a defensive back, in 2020, we were ranked 31st in pass defense.
