WR was a need. My points were in support of that fact.
If WR was a need then by that definition every position is a need because we can upgrade every position with the right trade.

The situation at WR was insufficient enough to qualify as a need.If WR was a need then by that definition every position is a need because we can upgrade every position with the right trade.

Good result doesn't equal good process. These stats are obviously all JSN, and I don't consider it wisdom for the offense to run through one guy, even if it's been working. Some stats that show why I believe it was a luxury (although still a good trade).
6th completion %
1st Yards per attempt
5th Rate
3rd 1st down %
Tied 1st 20+ yards
1st 40+ yards
Fewest Sacks
Least yards lost to sacks
Everyone can have their opinion but this is why I have mine. To me a team that leads the league in deep balls doesn’t NEED another deep threat but I’m certainly not going to turn it down. Should be fun to watch.
If you're interested, the current prop bets for Rashid this week are as follows...Calling it now, the need for Rasheed will become a thing.
He gets a 40 plus yard reception or return on Sunday. Book it.
Same here regarding Haynes...He received high remarks before being drafted....hoping in translates for our team eventually to being a great pick....Horton hears a what? Groin injury...sad to hear...Bobo who I thought was invincible is sadly still out...must be something more serious than we thought...Nice to see Haynes out there. I still have hope for the kid.
Horton with a groin, concerning, but full parcipitation is good.
The specific case is where play 12 personnel and oppositions bring a man down into the box leaving a single high safety. You can't do that if you have JSN and Rasheed on the field.I mentioned (in a different thread I think) that with 2 fast deep threats (JSN and Rasheed) running one deep and one intermediate route, and our many short/crossing route passcatchers running those, that this should unload the box and allow the running game to take off. There are only so many people on D to cover everyone. So, it was absolutely required for the running game to get another WR. I think some of you are playing checkers while JS/MM are playing chess.
I would def. take the over on receiving yards. If you're interested, the current prop bets for Rashid this week are as follows...
Number of Receptions... Over/Under 2.5 (-210/+155).
Receiving yards... Over/Under 41.5 (-111/-111).
In both cases, the money has been on the Over since they opened... driving up the odds on the number of receptions... and the number of yards on the latter.
