Kittle may try to give it a go, but I cant see him being affective or lasting the whole game for that matter. His ankle was swollen last Monday for their game. Anybody who's had a bad ankle sprain knows there's no way it's heeled good enough to go 6 days later.

From what I’ve been hearing Kittle says there’s no way he won’t play Saturday. I’m also hearing that Williams will be held out even if he could play to have him ready for the playoffs

Having Trent labelled as questionable is utter BS in my book. He can’t practise all week and is a short week from a clear hamstring pull. He ain’t playing.

Ya I have no doubt he'll try to give it a go. But a sprained ankle is a sprained ankle. Ain't no cortisone shot that'll fix that. Maybe he's a miracle healer like RW was. Good luck with that.

No Cross, damn!
I knew Cross would be out but he’ll be back in 3 weeks for the divisional round after they humiliate the San Francisco Sixty Niners on Saturday night. Ecstatic Shaheed will play and drop 80 yards and a tuddy on that weak Niner defense

I hope Josh Jones can go. He's done a nice job filling in for Cross.

Trent Williams being out may not be as big as we think it will be. His backup, Austen Pleasants, filled in quite nicely and got a 70.7 grade on PFF. And the 49ers' offense didn't seem to skip a beat. But that was against the Bears' defense. Hopefully he has more to handle against our edge rushers.

I'm more concerned for our O-line if Josh Jones can't go, because Mason Richman, a rookie third string at left tackle, getting his first NFL game action (he's played one snap this whole season) is a big problem.

He played well but he wasn't facing DeMarcus Lawrence, Leo, and crew.

It's not going to be Pleasant day for Mr. Pleasants, imo. :devilish:

Macdonald said in his presser today that Horton’s injury will take time to heal and they are moving forward not expecting him to play this year.

He also said the Whites injury is also season ending and they don’t expect him back.

Edit to add link

There are some hopeful tidbits in the article as well.

If he can't go, this game just got a hell of a lot harder.

I mean who would replace Josh Jones?

Also we still have Anthony Bradford on the other side as well.

Sam better put his running shoes on. 😟
Sam better get ready to do that regardless, come postseason. He can't stand in the pocket stone-footed against playoff defenses. He needs to start moving up in the pocket, as well as rolling out with his eyes down field but take the easy 6-8 yards in front of him toward the sideline if it's there and live to fight another play.
