I might be out of date on the concussion protocol but I believe every player has a normal state baseline from a series of tests. When the they get a concussion they go through the series of tests to see if they can reach their normal state baseline scores.
I think they get tested every 24 hours.
That's what was done when I coached in College but that was 30 years ago. YIKES! 30 years ago.

CD Lamb went down in a game with a concussion, and came back and played the next game. I know because he's on my fantasy team. So its very possible that Shaheed makes it back.

🙏🤞🙏🤞

Hope so 'cause we need him in there. He's our only deep threat aside from JSN.

F***ing Mike Jackson and his bitch-ass dirty plays...

So going by this, if Shaheed had Limited Practice, he's already at Phase 4...so maybe there's hope?

There definitely is hope I just wouldn’t get my hopes up too high yet. Concussions are a tricky thing. I’ve seen guys where they thought they were ready and had limited practice then went backwards. I’ve also seen cases where guys are back right away. I wish it was easier to predict but all we can do is hope and pray for now.

Pretty sure Tuesday was just a walk thru, so can't tell much from it. Today's practice will show us more, hopefully.

You can seriously and permanently f*** up a player by playing him too soon after a concussion. Get Shaheed through the protocol properly. We need him long-term.

Agreed. Although I want to see him back for Saturday I’m also glad that they have this protocol in place with neutral doctors.

sigh....that's fair.

But man...it's going to be pretty tough without him being another deep threat.

At least the Niners defense is ASS so maybe Darnold can still be effective throwing to the likes of Dareke Young or someone....

If Josh Jones can't go and they need to play Kight, then this week is probably a good week for that. The 49ers are without Bosa. He's been the terror for the Seahawks on their line. Also, their best players are in the middle of the line - Alfred Collins, Elliott, etc. This is the game they need Sundell, Zabel, and Bradford to bring their A+ games.
The Niners are extremely well coached and do a lot of things well, but wow is their pass rush a disaster at the moment.
