Usually I open this thread with our injury report but I just saw that WR McLaurin re-injured his quad and won’t play this weekend.

I’ll add the injury reports when ours comes out later.

How has Julian reaggravated his hamstring while not playing?? Surely they wrap these guys in cotton wool while they are trying to recover. Such disappointing news

Absolutely frustrating

His injury has been so weird

I'm sure it's legit, but it sure has unfolded in such a strange way. Everytime we think he's back, there's another setback with seemingly no explanation

Just saw a live podcast of Hawksblogger and Brian said that Dareke Young is going on the IR but that they're deciding whether to do the same for Love or not.

Either way, Love won't be on the field this sunday or next sunday or even the Rams game (I imagine).

They might as well put him on IR and hope he's completely ready to go in 5 weeks.

love should have definitely gone on IR. He’ll be needed down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Here’s a recap article about Macdonalds press conference discussing injuries. As mentioned looks like Young and Love are out but Spoon and Hall should practice.

I’m getting antsy waiting for the practice report today.

That's what I would do. If he has a deep tear, he can just keep aggravating it. Better to just put him in the shelf until he is 100%

Sorry I was just responding to Mike’s presser.

Again having a setback while you’re on a bye week when already weeks into a niggling hamstring injury just screams amateur hour from our conditioning staff. I’m venting out of frustration but come on guys, seriously. Young being another one with lingering injury issues is a frustration at this point; at least they should all make it back at some point.
That Rams game is looming large though…

I'm certainly not a pro athlete, but I've had the hammy thing. It's a weird injury. You could rest it, rehab it, think it's better, and then get active and tweak the darn thing again. For me, it wasn't so much that it was painful as it was that I just couldn't use the leg like I wanted to from an absence of power in it.

Yeah, I have no room to talk. Pulled something getting up out of my recliner the other night. Haven’t been the same since.

I'm sure most teams wish they could force this on players. Remember when players had to do two-a-days? Yeah, that and so many other things have gotten neutered through more and more player-friendly collective bargaining agreements over the years. The days of guys like Ronnie Lott choosing to amputate an injured finger rather than repair it so he could get back to playing a lot faster are long gone.
