It means unspoken. Like obviously they aren't going to announce they don't think the other RBs can do the job, but actions speak louder.

Id agree with you if we're talking about them taking a seventh rounder they like, which they did last year, but you expect a fourth rounder to make the team and be a contributor, especially at a position like RB. If you take one here, the plan is for MAYBE one of Holani, McIntosh, or Wilson to make the team. Doesn't show a lot of confidence in those guys.
You mean like, "The 12's gave their tacit approval to bolster the Seahawks weak RB room."
Like that?

It feels like the competition thing is more real under JS/MM than it ever was under PC, who preached it relentlessly. He was loyal to players to a fault and didn't always walk the walk. Best players play now and new guys come in and push.

More random thoughts.

That makes sense, but if Ty Simpson had been there at 32 and Schneider thought very highly of him, do you think that's the pick? I don't think teams use picks and capital expected to contribute to potentially replace players they expect to be great contributors already.

Nooooo, please Nooooooo!! Any players they pick up from now on are PROBABLY going to be depth. Save the picks for next year to use as bate to move UP. Turn 12 picks into 7-8(hopefully more) to move ALL our picks into lower rounds. Something like that.
Not saying I want them to. Just making a statement that it's possible.

Jadarian Price will be exciting to watch but the secondary could be league’s best. Woolen was good not great and at times couldn’t get out of his own way. Julian Neal is like Brandon Browner in terms of physicality. Bud Clark was labeled the best free safety in the draft. This is a high caliber secondary

CB: Devon Witherspoon
CB: Josh Jobe
CB: Julian Neal
S: Bud Clark/Okada
S: Julian Love
NB/LB: Nick Emmanwori

Also Nehemiah Pritchett is great depth on the outside

Feels like with a top heavy draft and with us always being so active in UDFA signings to be less likely to trade back into this draft, but yep definitely true there's a lot of capital next year and a small chance, just means it definitely would have to be someone they like a whole lot, someone they think is really really really really, really, good looking.

Alright, turns out I'm stupid and could have sworn we still had a fourth round pick and thought people were suggesting taking another RB there. Sixth round? Yeah, take who you think is good. My bad.

Well done. I liked it.
And I would never claim to be a draft expert. I was just saying maybe they will trade up. A guess. Nothing more.

To go 17-3 and win the SB decisively and only lose four core players really pushes this team into a new era with MM at the helm. Going into this draft with only four lower picks I never expected to end up with 3 promising CB's, a stud safety, serious competition at RG and a RB that may even surpass K9. Plus a WR & DT for more depth and extra cap room to boot.

John is the man.
Thank you Mike, Thank you John and Thank you to everyone in the building from the janitor to the players.
It's been a great ride.
