I'm just glad the FO saw what a lot of others saw that he was NOT it vs the fans who were losing their crap wanting Geno to stay.

I wanted to get rid of Geno after I read the police report from his DUI arrest in 2022. I have prosecuted and defended many DUIs, and I can’t remember seeing behavior towards an arresting officer that was as arrogant and abusive as Geno’s. He is a prick, he threw teammates under the bus, and he isn’t very smart. So glad we traded him, and got the Milroe pick in the deal.

I just saw Nick Saban on some football show. He said it was always culture over system when it came to recruiting players. Did a player fit the kind of culture you were trying build? It's no surprise to me that Geno and DK were two of the biggest names to go at the end of MM's first season as HC. And look who replaced them, Sam and Kupp.

All I know is dude was too snarky in his interviews for my tastes as a franchise QB. i.e. Let your play do the talking. Combined with when it came to his actual play, I knew when the game was on the line the most likely scenario was going to be that he would drive up the field with amazing passes, and then throw an interception to seal the loss because he was gonna force passes. It's gonna look great or end up getting picked, and no surprise, if you force 10 passes in a row, eventually that pick is gonna happen.

Works in college where you can pick and recruit your players, NFL depending on Organization you may not have the luxury. You have to mold the team around the players you have or that are given to you. That and manage huge ego's even more.
