I expected this

No, I don't necessarily mean the results of the game against the '9ers. I mean the way the Hawks have become a really great team. From the moment Pete was hired as head coach of the Seahawks, I expected this.

I saw what Pete did at USC; I don't think people remember just how BAD the Trojans were before he came. They were coming off the second-worst five-year stretch in their history when Pete was hired. They flat out sucked. And then along came this crazily enthusiastic, "failed NFL coach" that no one wanted. Within a year that team was competitive. Within two years they were kicking ass.

So I expected this. It actually took a year longer than I thought it would. But I knew it would happen.

It's harder to keep this up in the NFL. But if anyone can do it, I think Pete (and John Schneider) can. Enjoy the ride. Expect good things, like Pete does. Win Forever.

Go Hawks!

I have been a Husky fan since I was very young. in the dark days of the Dawgs, USC emerged as this force to pay attention to, and it was Pete that really made the USC dynasty click. So when they offered to bring him here to Seattle, I was like... SWEET.

Oregon can pound sand. UW could fall asleep for another fifteen years and we would still own the series. (Note: Washington leads, 58–42–5) Yep... that's how crooked it was before we hit sanctions and recruiting issues as a result... 58-33-5. :D

Sing it girl! I was hopin' and prayin' you'd be right and boy were you ever!

Oh. And X2 with Schneider at his side! Literally an embarrassment of riches. It's almost unfair to all the other teams. I just hope Russ can pick it up a bit (hard to do so running for his life out there...hope Okung is gonna be alright).

I'm with you. I have no vested interest in the Pac-12 (or 10) but I liked what I knew about PC from USC. It's working here. I can't imagine this team being more focused, unified, and prepared to win than it is now. This season is going to be amazing... one game at a time.

Exactly. I knew Pete was great, and knew the Cheat bs was just sour grapes talk. My concern (very, very early on) was whether his dominating style would successfully translate to the pro level, but early into his 1st year it started looking possible (and likely).....and now, after the final puzzle-piece of Russell Wilson plunked into place......duh-aaaaaaaaam!

Ain't this ride great?!? :)

Pete always said that this would be a 4 year plan.

This is year 4.

We've got a long way to go, but in terms of talent...Pete delivered.
