Dude you have always been this way.

I think all lifelong Seahawks fans are like this as well.

I agree, I think we're all this way to varying degrees.

Think about it: if you had a buddy, who kept going back to the same woman that kept letting him down, over and over again.....lifting him up just to disappoint him, then setting high expectations to let the guy down, well you'd tell the guy there was something seriously wrong with him.

If you related our Seahawks relationship to a interpersonal relationship, well then we're all a bit bat shit crazy.

Vodka and redbull will remove the fear.

I know. Its hard not being an underdog wishing for a Cinderlla story.

Here we are the favs to win it all and we are about to crush the 9ers.

I'm glad you posted this, I have real reservations about this game. When we put the crap down on them last year they didn't have Justin Smith, which kind of negated Aldon Smith. Given our problems with our line and facing one of the best fronts in the NFL... I just don't want to see Wilson scrambling for his life all game while Beast mode is getting bottled up.

I really, really, really want this game. I couldn't stand the smug that would come from my 49er's friends.

Yes they will have Justin Smith, but they don't have Michael Crabtree which I feel makes it a wash. We'll win this game.

As a fan, I am desperate for the victory. Validation of expectations. Extra exposure, recognition and hype going forward. Easier path to a division title. All that selfish, important for our fandom's ego nonsense.

But in reality, it's not going to define the season, any more than the victory did last year. This game is just too early to predict anything. If we do lose, we'll have to suffer 'overrated' barbs from other fans and from some knucklehead pundits. But you know as well as I do, if we win, those same people will conjure reasons why it didn't mean anything. It's important in our quest to host a playoff game, but a loss doesn't preclude that either. I don't expect any of us really regard the Arizona loss or even the St. Louis loss as diminishing how we felt about last season. It was all about the finish.

The game in SF is going to be the real important game. By that week, we should be neck and neck heading down to the wire. This is merely the prelude.

All due respect. I don't give a rat's ass what "they" will say. I am concerned about HFA and I believe our margin of error on the season is slimmer than their's is.

We need this game and the one in SFO, IMO .

A sweeping calm has come over me the past few days. I realized something. They can't hurt us. They don't have the speed to do it. Our DB's are too physical, we match up really well against them. If we score 20, we win, and we're going to score 20.

I have no doubt we score 20. And yours had been the most reassuring voice in this thread. I would like to hug you.

I have a feeling we will pull off a win at home. The crowd really gets into the head of our opponents. I MEAN DIDNT WE ALL SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO KAEPERNICK LAST YEAR? He completely froze up like a lil girl on stage. This will be an awesome game

I'm so geeked I almost chopped off my ear trying to trim an errant lock of hair. An ear can really bleed. I guess the blood vessels are all on the surface or something. I smeared the blood all over my face and nipples. Stared at myself in the mirror for a long, long time and got very drunk in there. Go Hawks. GO HAWKS.

The Legion of Boom was built by PC, himself a former NFL defensive back, specifically to defend against big strong receivers like the ones in our division and specifically SF.

Even missing BB and having missing/injured pass rushers? They can totally hurt us.

I'm nervous as heck but it's fun to have a game that means so much to look forward to.

To quote Red Bryant we've just got to have this game.

Gotta beat the niners at home. Have to.

I am nervous as hell.
