Hey if we're projecting here...
Ernst Jones is on pace for 140 tackles, 9 INT's,
If thats the case Bobby Wagner is currently on 181-182 tackle, 11-12 sack pace.
All kidding aside, Wagner only needs 130 tackles to break 2000. And only 190 more to surpass Ray Lewis for All-Time.
But imagine if Wags whose only in his 14th season decides to play at least 2 more years after this as London Fletcher (2,039) played 16, Ray Lewis (2,059) played 17, and the late Junior Seau (1847) whom Wagner has passed at third in week 1 played 20.
And I think Wagner is motivated to not only become the All-Time tackle leader but blow it away 2100-2200+ where nobody can take it way from him and he’ll retire maybe not as the GOAT but the Last True Mike as inside linebackers continue to be downsized.
To keep this even more Seahawks relevant and just a fun tidbit: of the top 20 tackles leaders only 2 are Safeties. Eugene Robinson comes in at 19th of all time with 1413 and with 57 Ints, how is this guy not in the HOF. And Lawyer Milloy comes in at 15th with 1439. While he only played 2 seasons in his return back to the PNW, he was instrumental in mentoring a young pair of safeties in 2010 that might have been the the most iconic, most feared tandem of their decade, until Chancellor’s neck injury forced him into retirement and Thomas’ mental issues derailed his career and his life.
