I realize that in order for the Niners to make it here, they have to win. I have real issues with wanting the Niners to win any game. I think that the Niners take GB to the cleaners and yes, that does give the Hawks a chance to take them out at the Clink, but I would rather just have them fail from the onset.

I've got cousins in Wisconsin who are big Packer fans. So I'm rooting for the Pack to knock off the whiners. After that, I don't care who we play, we'll have to beat Carolina at some point. If I'd rather NOT play anyone, it's Philly. Not sure what to expect from them.

I'm not choosy about who comes here to play us in the Div round. I would laugh my azz off if GB took the Whiners out, but seeing as how Harblaugh and co. have dominated GB on both sides of the ball in their last two meetings, I don't see that happening.

Not sure what to make of Philly, which is why they seem a bit more dangerous to me. We are very familiar with the Niners and aren't really strangers to GB, but we haven't lined up across from anything close to Chip's system. LOB learns and adjusts quickly, but they better be doubly quick against that spread scheme and their super-accurate QB.

McCoy worries me more the Foles, We can still use the Bandit package or odd number schemes, our fast linebackers can do a lot as well.

Rodgers lit up SF for 300+ and 3 TD's in week 1 and that's when Eddie Lacy was super green and the Whiner offense had some bite to it (plus a freak once-in-a-lifetime game for old man Boldin.) I think I actually like GB at home in that one.

The Eagles have a horrible defense and hardly did anything against the equally horrible Cowgirls, barely winning the worst division in the league. Even when we were gashed on the ground this year, we kept the points to a minimum.

Carolina has a solid D obviously, but they still have to come here and Scam Newton doesn't scare me one bit. 19 points in two games against us in their house with 10 AM starts? Pffft.

We already figured out the Saints and straight up dominated them in all phases. Drew Brees' worst game since his Charger days. They finished the season on a big downturn.

I'm surprised by the number of people who think we'll play San Fran next. Even if San Fran beats GB (which is likely since GB can never get their shit together against San Fran), it assumes that Philly beats the Saints. If the Saints win, which I think is very likely, that will automatically be our next opponent. And if it does end up being San Fran at Seattle, the dumb-ass NFL will be kicking themselves for giving us the least popular time slot of the weekend!

I love the blowouts we've had at home against the Niners, but I'd like to see us do better against them on offense. Hopefully Percy will be ready when (or if) they make it to C-Link. Third time at our house might finally calm down Keap enough where he plays better, so we might need more than just Lynch and a short field to generate some scoring. WiLLson is starting to look like a cool weapon against them, but his injury might keep him sidelined. He's not 300lb lineman, so at least he has a fighting chance.

I have never been in the camp of 'We need to beat the best to be the best'. I want the Hawks to have the easiest road to win a Super Bowl [yes it's called the Super Bowl, not the Superb Owl].

I'm not sure what that road is but maybe New Orleans, Carolina [I think Cam would wilt at the CLink], San Diego.

Whatever it is, that's the road I want. I just want the Hawks to win the Super Bowl, they don't have to 'prove' anything by beating the 49ers and Broncos along the way.

Yep.

Not only this, but we HAVE already beaten the best. That's what winning the NFC West in 2013 is. All that's left to prove is that we can hold serve against the best for two more at home and then win in New Jersey.

I see a lot of people talking about how Newton would do in Seattle, and while I think people are underestimating him a bit, I think Carolina's offense isn't the issue if the Panthers come to Seattle.

It's the Carolina D, people. It's really freakin' good. It's better than any defense in the postseason except our own. THAT'S what worries me about a potential Panthers visit.

Another thing: Sean Payton is a legit coach. Jim Harbaugh, douchebag that he is, is a legit coach. Mike McCarthy is so stupid to the point of non-functionality that I'm not sure how he doesn't just randomly fall over more.

That would be another point in favor of playing GB.

Sorry but it's blowing my mind that so many fans here want the Packers or the Panthers or the...WHAT?!?!

Have you all lost your minds?!?!

I want ONE team and ONE team only right now and it is the freaking 49ers and their train wreck coach. Yes, we may have one or two 49er's fans that act like human beings here but we ALL know that is the vast minority. Nothi....NOTHING will give me more satisfaction than watching Kaepernick and Harbaugh's dreams die on our field.

Anything less than that is a disappointment.

Who's with me?

I want the 49ers in the NFC Championship game. It would be awesome. That said, I can understand why fans wouldn't want the 49ers. They may see them as a threat. And they may like a superbowl ring more than beating the 49ers one more time.
