Too early to judge obviously after 1 game. But ouch, just listened to a breakdown of the game from neutral parties and it was not kind to Bobby

That's why all of the talk about casting off our stars was a bit overblown. As someone said, if we weren't so loyal to our guys, we would have been wise to trade Wagner after 2020. He'd already lost a step then.

Hands down HOF / ROH player, but father time knows not defeat. It's just business.

Should have traded KJ in 2018 or 2019 and Wagner in 2020. This front office doesn't know how to play that game, apparently.

I think they've just unwisely chosen to maintain relationships rather than make the hard business decisions. Hopefully they've learned their lesson. On the positive side, even in their missteps, they were able to field a perennial contender.

But agree. As hard as it might be for fans to understand - had they traded Wags and Russ 2 years ago, the base would have gone nuts - when the hysteria fades, logic is still logic and business, business.

I wonder hiw much blind loyalty to Norton led to Wagner staying beyond his peak. The LBs all loved Norton, to a man.
