Looks like we only keep 3 RB. Makes it more likely we keep 6 WR I guess.

Unconfirmed... but posted today...

According to reports from ESPN, the NFL Network and national football writer Aaron Wilson, Seattle has informed eight players today they will be waived: receivers Matt Landers and Easop Winston Jr., safety Ty Okada, tight end Tyler Mabry, offensive linemen Greg Eiland and Kendall Randolph, rush end Levi Bell and nose tackle Matt Gotel.

I wonder if that’s a hint on possible PS additions. Maybe they informed them and let them know not to go to far in hopes that someone else doesn’t pick them up?

I'm sure they talk to players to let them know that they have a spot on the PS open for them if they don't get signed elsewhere.

🤨 is this from last year? Landers and Bell weren't on the 90 man roster this year.

Here for the reactions when it's revealed he was cut in favor of keeping Eskridge.
I’m just here for the excuses when he’s hurt week 2

And to be clear, I’m fine with only 3 RB. Just don’t think Dee deserves a spot

Looking at reports of current cuts--like Holani--many seem to have been better performers than some of those still on the roster.

It would not surprise me if they are being released early to see if they can find starting jobs on other teams at cut-down.

If they pass the waiver wire, they will be first to the practice squad. It would be like JS to operate that way, as he has in the past.

I wanted Holani to make it as well (honestly, he made a case to be the #3 RB but McIntosh took it away) but we had so many WRs, TEs (I'm assuming some of the TEs are going to be flexed into the FB spot since Bellore is gone), LBs, defensive secondary... I think it's understandable we didn't keep 4 RBs.

If Holani or McIntosh were looking likely to be doing KR/PR duties, keeping a 4th might make sense but it seems we'll be drawing from the WR corps for that, so going with 6 WRs makes more sense.

I'm thinking that 4th back will be a practice squad addition.

Holani was up front and honest, in his interview, that he was trusting and following his blocking.
