Yup, but no sports journalist believes in Atlanta. I think they are much better than people give them credit for, not sure if the defense is a mirage myself but they are the number 1 seed in the NFC and have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball.

The playoff record is what it is, they seemed to run into the best teams at the wrong time in the playoffs. 1st-Cardinals, superbowl team, 2nd-DNQ, sophomore slump?, 3rd-Green Bay, superbowl team, 4th-New York, superbowl team; seems like a lot of bad luck.

Reminds me a lot of the 13-3 Seattle Seahawks, who were disparaged for the division they came from, their history of mediocrity, the strength of their schedule, and no one gave them a shot.

We all saw how that turned out. I think the Falcons deserve a lot more respect than they get.

My thinking as well. All I know is our folks didn't like it when the other playoff teams tried using the strength of schedule or strength of victory to show how they were better than our "soft" team. Panthers fans thought they were pre-ordained to win it all. Bears fans scoffed at us and couldn't wait to get us (only to lose the the Panthers at home). All were buying into the national narrative.

Remember Dork Bayless saying the Seahawks didn't deserve to be in "his" Superbowl. Tons of crap that the Falcons are facing. We will see what the football gods have in mind. Seems the wicked always win. We are now one of the most hated teams because of various reasons. Seems like the kind of team that catches the girls eyes. We definitely seem to savor the bully aspect of things.

Our fans should enjoy the ride. Let it all hang out. Save the soul of our mods, but they are hell-spawned anyway. Especially that Absolute guy. :snack:

Ummm, didn't we lose that superbowl? I know that we all like to think it was only because of the refs, but I have the feeling that this team won't let the refs decide the game.....
