NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Saturday morning, Seattle was among the teams who called the Dallas Cowboys about trading for defensive end Aldon Smith. However, the Cowboys said Smith was not on the table, signaling the team wants to sign the 30-year-old to an extension given he's on a one-year, $2 million deal worth up to $4 million.

Aldon's an aging DE and Dal-ass has no quarterback, not even Dalton. If they lose tonight could be jerrah changes his tune.

If Aldon then becomes available do we sign him?

Seahawks currently have a 2, 4, 5, and a 7 as picks go.

Bet your last dollar Jerruh would want that 2. Dallas fans would scream if they shipped Aldon Smith (on current form) for anything less.

No way JS gives the 2 up - even he would struggle to build a draft class worth a damn with the remaining three picks.

It would probably cut what little of a draft class we have left so it’s a no from me. We have a bunch of guys coming back from injury and Dunlap. If it’s anything more than a late rounder no other acquisitions are worth it.

This is a trade I would be all about if we give away the right personnel. People talking about Matthew's and Clowney...waste of time! Aldon smith proved years ago that he is hall of fame caliber defensive lineman. Seems like he got his shit together after bad years with 9ers and raiders. Sucks that dallas' dumb asses got to him first because now they know his worth and want to hang on to him.
