I’d love to be wrong…comment was out of frustration over lack of OL focus
They will draft a top prospect. Zabel, Membou, Booker or Savailanea. Take that to the bank. Thy will also draft some value guys in the later rounds. I'm almost positive they are drafting the kid from Newport High School Jackson Slater or maybe someone like Tate Ratledge.

I think it's interesting that they interviewed Booker and Anderson... might they move up in the draft to get one of them? Anderson won't make it to 18!

Also I couldn't remember my password so I came up with the dumbest name I could think of!

They will pick someone in the 4th round who is below average bc they’re smarter than everyone else
If they don't take an O-Lineman in the 1st or 2nd they will have likely missed the boat or at least greatly reduced their odds of success and adopted another project. They also need to sign a solid FA IOL for respectable coin in conjunction with the high pick AND probably a day 3 prospect if he's there. It that important and has been neglected for far too long.
Big, big difference between college and pro & offensive line has one of the biggest chasms to bridge.
Offensive lineman don't just fall to the 3rd or 4th round just so the Seahawks can find a new starter and so John can use earlier picks on a safety, DE, TE (insert trade down trigger puller here).
Long rant, wasted breath. Every year I (we) scream OL and it never gets fixed.

I completely agree. I think we go O line or D line/edge in the first and the opposite in the 2nd. Better plug and play O linemen are projected to be there in the 2nd so I think we go D lineman in the 1st and still likely able to grab a very good day 1 starting O lineman in the 2nd. A lot will change come April 24th but I think that’s the way to go as of right now. Then still draft a “project” O lineman day 3.

I don't see them trading up. Due diligence would be to know those guys in case they fall to us at 18.

Daniel Jeremiah says the shelf in this draft is around 16, and then it's a matter of fit until you get to picks in the 40s. If you believe that the shelf is right about where we will pick then you wait to see who falls through and, if nobody falls through, you trade down a bit and see if you can get another pick in that range. e.g. 25 + 34 > 18 + 50

Imagine IF that trade happens to GB and the Hawks are sitting at 18 and 23 in the 1st round. They could get some work done. Sure feels a lot like when Russ was traded. Way too much smoke to assume the DK talk isn't legit.

I assume there are DK talks as well…but for a first round pick though, that part, I gotta really question….third round sure—second round tops, and if that!

I think you're underestimating his value. But we may never know if the Hawks are even willing to trade him, IF he actually stays. We don't get to find out what was offered most of the time.

Hoping they draft 2 O Lineman AND pick up a Guard in Free Agency.
I'm not far off this. I want to see them sign a Center (Dalman specifically) Haynes was an extremely good WZB in college, elite. I feel after an offseason he can step in at one guard spot. Draft a guard in one of the first two rounds, a plug and play to be the other starter. Draft another devlopment IOL later in the draft.

Rumor has it Dalman may have so many offers he gets up to $20 mil/year. He's 26. Would you go that high? I think I would.
