So this is my second post ever, and my first one got no comments, so I'm hoping to improve on my past performance.
As an introduction, I grew up in Portland, but had all my extended family in Washington so was there often. I became a hawk fan when Zorn was slinging to Largent, and my fervor has only grown through the years. I came down to UC Santa Barbara for college and have lived here ever since. I try to go to one game a year, and this year we flew up for the Monday night who dat Saints game.
I've always sported hawks gear around town but mostly got ignored. In the last year, and obviously over the last few weeks especially, I can sense our fan base growing exponentially in southern cal. And our hate base, which may be even more fascinating (and it's not just whiner fans who hate us). We are relevant and it feels oddly good to be hated by other fans.
Anyway, I've been reading posts on here for years now and greatly appreciate this forum, especially in these amazing Carroll years when I spend more time on the site than is reasonably responsible. For my first post I had a friend put a sherman jersey on the cat picture I found floating around the internet. I personally think this image is hilarious and after Sherman's epic interview knew that he represents the outside hate for this team quite well. Unfortunately for the haters it's going to be a long road as this team has been set up for the long haul brilliantly.
Adding some type of Championship banner to this pic would be cool. Also, I don't use twitter but maybe someone can tweet this pic to Sherman and see if he responds.
