Harvin or Reggie Bush?

Aside from being cheaper, I don't see very many advantages for Bush over Harvin. All things considered, statistically and in terms of impact, Percy is what Reggie was supposed to be coming out: a highly skilled, highly versatile offensive weapon who is supremely effective either taking snaps out of the backfield or lined up at wide out.

Not to mention Harvin is more talented athletically; faster and stronger, similar lateral agility, and more physical with the ball in his hands. This, and he is an actual WR with the full knowledge and familiarity of the route tree. He'll be able to take the field in formation with Lynch, something that would not be possible with Bush in his place.

Considering also that Harvin is younger and his injury history no more or less bleak, this is an easy pick for me.

Reggie Bush is VERY good.

Percy Harvin is elite. Assuming they stay equally healthy, (lol, both have somewhat of an injury history, but you know what I mean) Harvin is the choice that to me, at least, seems clear.
This.

I dont think Reggie would want to play for Carroll.. Anyway, I just cant wait to see Harvin suit up. He will raise hell.
No idea what the status of Pete and Reggie's relationship is, but I don't want Reggie anywhere near Pete. That's a negative media circus I'd prefer to avoid.

This. Plus his main role is a RB which we have a stock pile of. Idk how often he lines up at WR or how good he is there, so Idk. I still think I would be more inclined with Harvin even with the picks and salary cap, he's just a beast all-around weapon(wr,rb,kr,pr).

Bush's contract is apparently 16m over 4 years with a 2m cap hit this year.
That pretty much seals it for me.

Though I'm fairly certain if we could have made space for both...

I-formation, Bush and Lynch in the backfield, Harvin in motion, combined with two of Tate, Rice, Miller and Baldwin.

It'd be like playing Madden

Harvin. Remember the cap goes up in '14. He is younger and up until this surgery has proven durable. Having Tate and Harvin on the field at the same time will make DC 's go crazy.

They are completely different players and would be used for different things even if they were on the same team. Harvin will not predominately be used out of the backfield (80/20), whereas Bush rarely ever lines up in the WR position. We need a WR playmaker, not a RB.

I'll believe it when I see Harvin able to play at least a full season healthy for us. If he can do that and be "ELITE" then great. But right now he reminds me too much of another WR this team traded a 1st round pick for a few years back.

I have to play my role and mention that the correct answer is De'Anthony Thomas.

I don't know why I laugh every time JSeahawks does his corny gimmick. But I do. He's the guy yelling "Freebird" at a Kanye concert, and I'm the douche laughing at it.

XOXO
