now the guardian cap.. it looks silly but its not really too noticeable. I saw a few atl players wearing them this weekend. I also feel overtime they're just have players playing more reckless with a false sense of safety tbh.

I thought he used his shoulder- If it was forearm, no I'm not for that.

I previously downloaded the video and watched it frame by frame. The 3 images I posted in the .zip file are each 2 frames apart. You can see by Rice's head movement that he's been hit in the face mask, (in other words - head/helmet/neck area), by the defenders helmet. Rice hadn't completed the catch process so he's considered to be a defenseless receiver.

I'm not holding anyone to a moral standard here. If the NFL decides it's not a forceful hit then it's a legal hit. My eyes tell me it was a forceful hit, but whatever. I'm very surprised to hear that Rice didn't go to the sideline blue medical tent after the hit or go through a concussion protocol test the following day with the Chiefs. I will look forward to the NFL's official statement.

I guess I'm just not seeing what you're seeing. Especially when you look at it from the other angle. If that's a hit to the head/neck area, nearly every shoulder-to-shoulder hit is illegal. A defender either has to hit people below the numbers, or tuck his head down, which is the fastest path to an upper spine injury.
