Sam Darnold is the most wronged player in history:
Of all the teams in the league, he was drafted by that loser Jets, where he had no choice but suffered failure. Before he helped the Vikings to a playoff, he was abandoned by McVay, Shanahan, etc. a bunch of self-proclaimed QB gurus. After he helped the Vikings, he was abandoned by the Vikings without a long-term contract. The entire league again turned their back on him.
Schneider was right to low-ball him, after all, there were 6-8 QB needing teams, but ZERO winked at Darnold.

He’’s the worst player in the NFL HoF by a longshot. He’s famous for banging chicks , a panty hose ad, and of course “the guarantee”. He did win SBIII MVP though. He must have dominated Super Bowl III right? Nope.
The Colts played awfull. Colts quarterback Earl Morrall threw three interceptions before being replaced by J Unitas. Namath threw for a hair over 200 yards on 60 percent completion rate while never finding the end zone.
Namath became the first SB MVP to have not thrown or scored a touchdown.
Anyway….sorry for the rant…
Back on topic, Doug Williams is one not mentioned yet. I will admit Kurt Warners story is pretty compelling and I agree that Plunkett is tough to beat.

The league MVP that season averaged 207 yards passing on 57% completions, with 17 INTs in a 14-game season. Namath's Super Bowl of 206 yards on 61% completions with no INTs (the two QBs of the other team combined for four) was certainly not considered a bad game at the time.
That's like saying Largent was overrated because his 65 yards per game receiving is less than TY Hilton and AJ Green. Sign of the times.

While I agree if I'm building a list of greatest QB's ever to build a team with, Namath probably doesn't get mentioned
But the 1960's NFL was a different game and place in time.
Joe Willie was the first QB ever to break the 4000 yard mark in 1967 and he did it in a 14 game season. That record stood until Dan Fouts broke it in 1979 in a 16 game season.
Namath played a huge role ushering in the modern NFL to television audiences.
To say he doesn't belong in the HOF or is the worst player enshrined I don't think is a valid argument. IMHO the threshold for entering the Hall has gotten easier each decade over time. The game has changed drastically over the years in so many ways, especially with the powder puff rule changes.
To illustrate, in his earlier years, Tom Brady took some brutal, viscous hits with no flags, the kind that if that happened to Pat Mahomes, the world would fall to tears. The league has evolved to favor QB's over pass rushers, WR's over DB'S, fancy passing games over the run and Florence Nightingale officials who make throwing for 4K yards easier than ever.
Yeah, 4007 yards in 14 games in the Deacon Jones era including a game in the mud, that's impressive.

Ernie Davis - though he was never really able to play as a Pro due to Leukemia, he was the Greatest 2nd act to Jim Brown and we'll never know if his game would have surpassed Browns. All-time First Class act if we ever have that list.

Im honestly looking fwd to his "Geno" moment.. but BETTER...... he was more composed than I had ever seen Geno when he was getting rag tagged by our mid defense. making throws making plays.
What do we have to lose? The qbs in this draft aren't shit..... "Dart" at 18 is hilarious... Ok we suck ass and win 3 games next year.... next is AMAZING for the draft to trade that away if Darnold wasn't the problem or gain momentum
