Today, I felt like his play calling was excellent and at times, borderline genius.
Because I know he reads this forum and longs for my approval (cough), I create this thread in his honor. Nice job, sir and I'm sure the flight home from Atlanta was better than your return flight from STL. Please keep up the good work. Feed the beast!

And yet there were people in the chat room ripping him early in the game. Funny how these things work.

After listening(radio)to Marshawn prior to his plane boarding, you can rest assured that he was "one happy fellow"!

I think Bevell called the game the way he usually does. Though I did love the return of the trick play, I was wondering where those had disappeared to this season.

Really, with our offense, and most offenses, it's 5% playcalling a 95% execution. Today, our guys executed, and our offense kicked ass.

Still don't like the empty backfield set with the present o-line. Submits RW to more abuse than necessary. He used it 3 or 4 times today on like 3rd and 3 or 4. With the team's regular starters on the o-line, ok, but not this configuration.

Also, he finally ran Beast 3 times from what, the 5 or 6 yard line til he got in. 'Bout time Darrell. After all, you have football's strongest RB. Seems to me that's the place you most want to play to that advantage.

Talk about an outcome-dependent group!
If his stuff works, he's a genius. If it doesn't, he's a clueless bum.
We *finally* played a team that doesn't have a dominating defensive front 7.
Yes, our O-Line guys played better; mostly, I was glad to see Alvin Bailey getting reps all over the line. It's been hard watching the McQuistan turnstile at Left Tackle.

When the O-Line isn't sucking big time, Bevell is a much better play caller.

I formation success was nice to see.

Think that 37 yard run was out the I. Mike Rob lead the way.

Interesting to me today....with the way that Cable rotated the O-Line players today, it pretty much obliterated the idea that it takes all 5 guys playing together week after week to mesh and be dependent on each other. Seems like it was a different line each series.

Still hope Bevell leaves after this season. Yes, he had a great game today, but too often his play-calling is bone-headed and plain stupid. He just better not cost us a ring.

Me too. Just don't let that Kearly guy confuse you with facts and common sense; that's his favorite rhetorical trick. I think we've all wised up to his game now.

I suspect that behind his sneaky facts and logic front, that Kearly guy is one of those damn damn fair-weather analysts (and probably a bandwagon-jumper too).

Kearly should just be honest, like the rest of us. We all know that when things are going bad, we should rag on Bevell cuz it's 100% his play-calling. When things are going good, Bevell's a genius.

That's because some people understand a play call can be bad but still have wild success sometimes, as well as vice-versa.
