Ehh good for him. I don't dislike, I dont miss him. But i wish people would move the hell on from him. Imo I think we have better with Lockett, and Graham, as well as a few UDFA's we have.

Well, we got screwed out of Tate by Harvin, so I think it's still relevant for a little while longer. Tate is also superior to both Baldwin and Kearse, so, unless Matthews and Williams prove to be superior, then he is not inferior to our UDFAs. That said, you are correct about Lockett and Graham. I am looking forward to seeing greater production from Tyler on both offense and special teams.

Lol I wouldn't call him superior, he just landed in pass happy offense. And even being pass happy, his stats were all that better then when he was with us. He has more yard yes, but with considerably more tgts.

Last years Baldwin's Stats in comparison to Tate's last year with Seattle are pretty identical.

Fair enough. I know Tate was always Wilson's #1 target. Especially whenever Rice would depart with his annual knee injuries.

And thats where I can see where people would miss him. Then last year Baldwin became Wilson's #1 and I don't know this year.. will it be JG or DB? I think that also makes it hard to establish a little trust in your receiving core, including TEs because his faithful #1 has changed.. a few times now.

I miss him... A lot. He's a phenomenal receiver. Our offense would be insane with him in the mix now, but of course we probably wouldn't have Jimmy.

Don't know why so many Seahawks fans can't admit that not having Golden here sucks. We drafted him, he was developed here, and now here he goes balling his mind out for someone else.

He was insane at Notre Dame, too.

He caught the short end of the stick here because we're not a pass heavy team. He's always had this ability -- always. He is a play maker and makes thing happen. He's proven that at every stop, and was solid with the Hawks. So I don't think the "he landed in a pass heavy offense" stance really holds much water. He's insanely talented and to say otherwise just sounds like sour grapes to me.

This picture makes me want to puke. The biggest swing and miss of the PCJS era, and I'm not even mad because I was jacked beyond belief when I heard we got Percy.

Just such a weird piece of Seahawks history with this guy. He's the one guy in this world that I'd love to punch in the face. Just once.

I watched the NFL Seahawks '13 super bowl DVD again.

One of the things I noted was Tate and one thing he was really under appreciated at by many.

He was a devastating blocker many runs by lynch that broke for a lot of yards were due to his blocking ability.

LOL. Well, there is that. :stirthepot:

Much of Golden's statistical success is where he is. A pass happy system with a MONSTER #1 that demands double teams. A dream for Mr. Tate. Heck, I drafted him in FF for that reason alone.
What I miss about him playing for the Hawks is his durability and blocking ability. He was a good receiver too but one hell of a football player the most. Damned Percy!!!!! (and Ashton).

While losing Tate obviously sucks, a part of me is glad that a 'pedestrian' Hawks receiver went somewhere else and put up huge numbers. I have little doubt that Doug Baldwin would do the same.

I had liked Floyd better when they played at Notre Dame, and lamented the fact that Tate was a year older and so we got him instead. Then I was further dismayed when he first arrived and the doughnut incident occurred. Since then, however, he really began to impress with his playmaking and punt returns.
