I never really had any issues with the Pack, but the Tweets and fans after "The Catch" set them back a little. Of course, they are playing the Niners, so I am pulling for them.

However... the Niners are going to destroy those profusely bleeding vaginas. I only wish the Hawks could have had GB at home for the playoffs last year.

Since I don't live in the same city as my team is in, I have to say that Packer fans are really nice. I spend a lot of games watching with them as I try to get a Rams screen in a bar. They always help me, and are so polite.

They seem to have a ton of fans here in San Diego. Or rather, their fans go watch football at bars more than any other team.

Just wait til your team "screws" em, they'll whine every chance they can get.

I was wrong. The Packers did a lot better in SF than I thought they would. Still couldnt stop the run if their life depended on it. They are proving to be some pretty sore losers though. Matthews is a punk. You saw it with CK and when he sacked Wilson after blitzing in preseason he straddled/taunted him.

I wish Anthony Davis would have slapped Matthews around today. He needs an NFCW type attitude adjustment.

Question Loaf do you think the league will do anyhting to Mathews? considering that he was making hints all off season on hitting Kap whenever he can then smacks him Way out of bounds? Personaly I dont think anything will happen, but should there I just dont know.

Not that what I think matters, but no.

Matthews claims that it was not personal when we know it was. He is also a NFL glamor boy, the problem for him is that Kaeperstank is also an NFL glamor boy.

If CK would have been injured on that play, I think Matthews would have been fined, maybe even suspended. In the end, Dawson should have been lining up for a FG, instead they got another shot at the TD, which the Niners executed. I mentioned to my fantasy group (BTW I have both Boldin and Davis on my FF team) that the extra play was improper, but no one agreed.

To me, justice was served. I do not believe Staley should have been penalized for retaliation.

The Packers have been very vocal about their hostility to both SF and SEA. Harboring emotion from last year. Basically sore losers. The preseason blitzing on RW and the extra curricular against both SF and SEA is purely related to last season. I think the integrity of GB took a shot yesterday. As much as SF and SEA compete, at least their hitting takes place between the sidelines.

I like your take on this and agree.

The NFL says now that Staley SHOULDN'T have been penalized, and that the 49ers should have had first and goal at the 3.

I can understand why the NFL is saying that. Eliminate the controversy of the Touchdown scored on the next play. That logic in the article is damage control.

To me, it is proper, but because Matthews is a TurboDouche. The hit CK took deserved a first down. On the other hand, the NFL rules are pretty clear and both acts did happen as dead ball activity. Personal Fouls offset each other and if not during a play, there is no play to repeat.

Uh, the NFL is saying that because it isn't a penalty to grab someone to restrain them after a play (which is all Staley did, besides get punched in the head and have his facemask grabbed). Now punching someone? Going for their facemask? That's a penalty. Staley did NOTHING wrong.

There were TWO mistakes:

1. Personal foul on Staley. Should NOT have been called, because what he did is not a penalty.

2. SINCE it was INCORRECTLY called, it should have been 4th down.

But if things were called correctly, it would have been first and goal at the three.

No. If things were called correctly, Clay Matthews would be a stain in Anthony Davis tighty-whities.
