When I watch Carson I have the same thought every game. When you need a big first down, he's gonna' get it. Period. VERY few in the league play as hard as that guy.

I don't know if he does remind Pete, or anyone else of OJ, but Brock keeps trying to find out who it is that CC reminds Pete of. Possibly Brock threw OJ's name out there as the first #32 that came to mind. No idea. Just posting what was said.

OJ was generational. Speed at an epic level. I believe the only back to rush for 2000 in a 14 game schedule.

Marcus was faster and a "glider" which CC is not. Brown was faster and was just as powerful. Carson's nowhere near the level of either imo. CC is more powerful than Franco, but I just don't see it with any of them. Harris is the closest I suppose.

OJ was a strider and glider, I would think Marcus due to him having that ability to find a crease and get yards, not a guy that broke a lot long but got yards all the time. Carson is a bit more physical then all those listed however willing to take on guys. Jim Brown was a monster, power, speed and a man amongst boys, Brown ran over thru and past almost everyone because he was as big as most the defense and once in a secondary nobody could stop him.

That is one thing that really frustrates me! Sure, Dickerson was an amazing talent, but he had 16 games to pass 2000 yards! OJ only needed 14 (143.1 YPG) Eric had 131YPG which is the only stat that matters.

Just like PPG is the only stat that matters for Defenses.

"New England has the #1 defense allowing xxx yards per game." Doesn't matter.

To me that's the key to Germaine's quote.
Carson is great, but Ifedi has been sort of slow to develop. Having someone that makes you look good is especially important to a guy like Ifedi. For us the important thing is that he IS getting better.
