That was a great run. At least the game is competitive after 3 quarters.

I have been paying special attention to how the playoff teams have handled 3rd and 4th down and short. Every time I've seen that situation, the teams have either stuffed it up the middle with a sneak like the Philly shove (Buffalo did it with their TE) or sometimes a quick pass to a slot WR, etc etc. And what's interesting is that they are not direct copies of Philly, but riffs on it.

Bottom line is I can't get out of my head how pathetic the Seahawks were on short yardage. And the infuriating part is it never seemed to get better. I thought MacDonald adjusted well on Defense throughout the year and especially in game.

The offense never figured this out and this, more than anything else I think, makes me sanguine about Grubb being fired. I'm disappointed he didn't work out, and I know the Off Line was dogshit, but he just didn't do himself any favors and ultimately couldn't figure out some different techniques to compensate. Which is strange because he did seem creative at UW and that UW Off Line also often lacked push at the point of attack.

Not sure why he was unable to adjust, but I think the Seahawks mgmt was smart to move on from him, as painful as it is.

I think back to the 4th down run he called for UW to put away Oregon. It was a clutch call, and there were other similar calls throughout that season. Again, not sure what happened, but with some few exceptions, I didn't observe a worse running attack by any other team that I watched throughout the year.

Good Luck Ryan, but I think it was the right choice.

Lost interest after the first 5 minutes but back to endure the ending. These next two games are hopefully the good ones...I expect next week games will all be last second field goals well except the KC game.

Yep. I just stated in another thread that the Packers made it interesting for a moment there at the end of the third quarter, but in my opinion, the outcome was never really in doubt.

No its been a predictable weekend so far. Games were below avg.

Game was over on the fumble on the opening kickoff. Missed FG iced it, two big mistakes you can't really spot a team like the Eagles. Plus, Green Bay seems to lose another player on every series.

And I still think the call to give the Eagles the ball on that fumble was a mistake.
