Its just a way to pay both players and have what amounts to a ghost roster.

That’s usually reserved for guys we know and want to keep around Seattle. He’s only had a day here. Could be that he had another opportunity pop up or perhaps after coming in either his side or ours decided it wasn’t a good fit. We go through a ton of roster moves so it’s not all that much of a shocker.

Seattle Times reports today that due to Holani and Walker's injuries that Myles Gaskin will likely be elevated off the practice squad for the Vikings game.

Loved watching him when he was with the Huskies, and would love to see him do well if he plays tomorrow. He wasn't great when he started for the Dolphins a few years ago, but he was decent enough. The dude is 28 now, but he has put on no mileage the last three years.

5 RBs potentailly active tomorrow when it was normally only 3. I'm a bit curious how this plays out. It won't be 5 so Cam Akers is clearly not ready.

Agreed. I figured they signed Akers to replace Holani but signing Gaskin and elevating Jones tells me that Akers is probably not “football ready”. I think this affects special teams more than our run game
