Was watching the RedZone on Sunday.

I honestly forget what game it was on. Dude took a pretty good pop from a corner/safety - I forget which. It was like a medium-Kam style hit - clean as F - totally shoulder - but he POPPED him.

Everyone including myself was like 'ooooooooo - hard hit'. And then I was thinking and said to my wife - "That's like 50% of all Kam hits". Reminds me of Brady saying last year: "Every single Ray Lewis hit would now be 15 yards."

I don't super-have a point here. Not angry about it or anything - just really dawned on me how much things have changed in the league in just a few years.

The players are overtrained, low body fat, muscular and fast. What they aren't is, commited. The game is pussified, injuries are the result of guys being paid too much. They get paid on the bench, in the trainers room, or playing the game.

The way to change this is to pay them by minutes played. Not per year. They have the hunger to "Make the Show", once in it they slack off. Except for most WR's, and QB's. They don't accept hits in todays NFL. The very best play like animals, TJ Watt, ________ add your own manimals. Like Dave Wyman or other criticts of soft OL say, if you pay a big agile fellow a million bucks a year to block for 3 seconds, why don't they do it? They are soft hearted.

-- That is great troll chatter, but utterly ludicrous. The excessive and dirty play is being legislated out of the game with intent. The NFL's biggest uptick in viewers is women. You know, mom's who often decide if their kids play football. Trust me, the league studies everything. They know the handful of men who quit watching because of the game being officiated tighter, are likely to be lower income, and might have been crazed super fans, but were not likely to spend on football. Quite happy to replace with new fans who will spend. I also bet the league is more afraid of Tua coming back than any defenses are. A horrendous or gruesome injury will cost them a lot of fans.

-- Also, exactly who would you question about their commitment. DK has made two big gaffes in the last two games, but I certainly didn't think either came from a lack of effort. Geno stands in a takes wicked shots. I mean don't speak in generalities, tell us which NFL players are just fine making it to the bench.
