Wow, look at those penalties. Difedi Radunz.
I saw those six sacks he gave up ranked 125th of 135 qualifying linemen too.

He likes to do nothing and then leak stuff later that makes him look good. Like that he wanted Fries, and that he was totally going to draft Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.I don't know either, he may have, except he doesn't even hint at anyone other than Fries. We also don't know if Zeitler couldn't have been persuaded to head West for $10M or $11M. If it is his last year he might be looking to make as much as possible before he shuts to spigot off.
You may very well be right. We will never know as honesty this time of year is foreign to 32 different GM's not just ours - and rightfully so. But I did read he chose, from Schefter if I remember correctly, he wanted to be close to his family and that they live in Nashville. We may have offered him $50 million a year or not even a visit or possibly anything in between.I don't know either, he may have, except he doesn't even hint at anyone other than Fries. That's not true at all.At this stage whatever OG is eventually signed by JS will be found by those highly critical of him to be a weak ass signing, too expensive, and the sky will still be falling.
I get all that but in an article where he's supposedly addressing fan discontent you'd think he'd want to show more than one example of how he's trying to do what they, and pretty much every pundit around the league, thinks he should do.Point is it's always easy to point blame when you're not in the room or making the calls or decisions or your money or job on the line. Signing players isn't a 1 way street. There's an endless number of factors on why a player may come to Seattle or not. Some to do with JS, some not. We don't know with each situation the reasoning but people saying it's as easy as throw money here, said player has to come here then just isn't reality.
Maybe. However, all the analysts, former players and fans have been clamoring for JS to do something to shore up the biggest weakness on the team. He could have done more from what we know at this point. He even admitted he was hesitant to do anything because of past experience. That is not something I want to hear from my GM.At this stage whatever OG is eventually signed by JS will be found by those highly critical of him to be a weak ass signing, too expensive, and the sky will still be falling.
When does Free Agency end? Are there no possibilities that aren’t currently available come June? July? August?I get all that but in an article where he's supposedly addressing fan discontent you'd think he'd want to show more than one example of how he's trying to do what they, and pretty much every pundit around the league, thinks he should do.
You think he didn’t try for Zeitler? Zeitler is about to retire. His family lives in Nashville and he went to Tennessee probably to be close to his family. I’m not saying he did try for Zeitler but to suggest he didn’t try is all speculation.
Here is my suggestion.Who do you suggest they sign that wants to come to Seattle or is even available? The list is regrettably short.
Until there actually is solution I understand the concern but even the best GM just can't pull OGs out of his butt.
None of that makes any of the available free agents better than they are. And Schneider is one of thirty-one GMs who have refused to sign any five-year contracts this year.Like JS said:
He doesn't seem to realize good OLine is a scarce commodity in the league and you have to pay to get a couple of these guys. At least one at OT and one at OG. He could've had Zeitler at $9M for a year but he didn't move quick enough and now he's a Titan. I don't care if you've been burned in the past pushing in on guys in early March, do better. But don't do nothing and wait for the best options to get taken off the board cause your scared.
I blame scouting more than anything
That's not true at all.
Give us an OLine that can run block, move the chains and protect enough for the QB to feel comfortable in the pocket and not look like a scared rabbit and we'll shut up. Don't act like Seahawk fans are a bunch of cryers, I actually think we've been pretty patient & chill about it.
I like John and he's had some strong stretches but this roster building model that stubbornly relies on a cheap OLine is going to be his undoing.
I blame scouting more than anything but in fairness, other than QB, the offensive line is the most difficult thing to build.
That's why you spend $ & high picks.
No, the sky is not falling, unless you haven't won a playoff game in a while.
Then the sky is dark.
