Assuming he can prove he has learned the playbook decently. Since this is his chance to take his career by the horns and prove himself, I'm guessing he'll start this weekend. (For sure the one after if not this one, though.)

The Vikings play the Giants on MNF, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings look better and spank the hell out of the Giants.

I'm going to laugh if they right the ship, get into the playoffs, and wind up beating Green Bay on wild card weekend, or something. All kinds of potential shenanigans if Freeman does well for the Vikes.

As long as they get into the playoffs with a loss to us, I'm down for that.

I think Frazier is the perfect coach for Freeman, and 50 % of his starting job is handing off to Peterson so this is a good situation for him. Ponder traded or kept as backup and Cassell dumped/traded? Who cost more against the Cap?

Peterson's probably like, "Aww hell yeah, now I only face 8-man fronts instead of 9-man fronts since Freeman can actually toss the pigskin once in a while!"

Always liked Freeman. Wanted him to be a Hawk before we got RW. I wish him nothing but the best and am happy he got out of that dumpster fire in Tampa.

I think Freeman fits well with the Vikings. He won't have to do much, as they have AP to lean on, and he has plenty of weapons to make a play when possible. It also doesn't hurt that the other options are Ponder and Cassel.

Happy to hear Freeman is getting a shot so soon. This could be huge for him

He might still be gone at the end of the season. Draft is loaded with possible Franchise QBs and the Vikings will very likely draft very early.
Unless he can win many games before the end of the season (they playing the Packers twice) Freeman is auditioning for backup job somewhere else next season.
