Free agency predictions

Ahead of the opening of the free agency period, here are my predictions:

1. The Seahawks will sign at least one (and likely two) of their three FA defensive backs, and I think they will make Josh Jobe the priority.

2. The Seahawks will make every effort to sign Kenneth Walker, and I think they sign him, as long as it's for $14 million per year or less.

3. The Seahawks will let Rashid Shaheed walk, even though he won't get the big contract people are predicting.

4. The Seahawks will sign a FA interior lineman, either David Edwards or Alijah Vera-Tucker. I think they pass on trying to sign a FA center like Lindenbaum or McGovern.

5. The Seahawks will acquire an edge rusher to replace Boye Mafe (who will sign with another team), either by free agency or trade. It won't be a big name, but someone like Malcolm Koonce, AJ Epenesa or possibly K'Lavon Chaisson.

Don't take this seriously because I'm always wrong about free agency. But let me know your predictions.

1) I think they sign Tyler Allgeier in the first couple of days. I predict a 2 year contract for $11.75m. Then they sign Sean Tucker for 1 year and $2m in the second wave of free agency.

2) The team also signs Joseph Ossai on a 2 year contract for $16m. D-Law gets more incentives and doesn't retire.

3) If you want to get jiggy with it then the team signs Eric Stokes to a 3 year contract worth $22m. That's after re-signing Jobe.

McGovern just re-upped with the Bills, who I'll bet a decent number of teams were looking at that thought Lindenbaum was too rich for their blood. I'm content with Sundell, but wouldn't have been against signing someone they felt was a clear upgrade.
